PB Oriental — Restaurant in San Diego

I usually don't do reviews. As a matter of fact, I never do them, but I feel I must warn people about this unsanitary place. I was appalled and disgusted by what I saw. I think this place should be shut down for their lack of sanitary practices! After the cashier took my money and gave me my change, he proceeded to serve me the food by grabbing the rice and vegetables with his own bare hands without disinfecting them or washing them. I couldn't believe my eyes. I guess he did it that way to then pass the food to the cook to warm up. When I asked him to please use utensils because he didn't wash his hands or desinfect them, he put the plate of food aside and proceded to serve me a new one , this time he used utensils. My boyfriend had diarrhea several hours later. I will never go back there again and you should think twice before eating there. We ended up throwing the food away because it tasted so disgusting. I ordered from this restaurant a few weeks ago through one of the delivery services. I got the shrimp and lobster sauce which was quite good, it could have used more sauce. Also got the mushroom chicken which was good but a little bland. Tonight I ordered in again and one of the dishes I got was the teriyaki chicken. That was a big mistake. The chicken was tough and dry and the sauce was watery and tasteless. Because of the amount of food I ordered, I received three free egg rolls. They were also a huge disappointment. They are filled with mushy, tasteless vegetables. I don't mind having vegetables in an egg roll, but these were awful. I will probably think twice before ordering from this...

This place was pretty decent. The staff was very friendly and attentive. According to the lady that worked there, they’ve only been open about 6 months. I went with a friend, and we were the only people there at dinner time. Hopefully they do a lot of take out orders, or I can’t imagine they’ll be here in another 6 months.

I found the prices to be really reasonable, and the quality of the food was good. The portions were also very generous. I got the sesame chicken. I liked it but didn’t love it.
