Since moving to SD we've searched high-and-low for the perfect pizza place. We checked out there menu online to make sure they offered it, which they do, and decided to give it a try. (we live in the Marina District and want pizza walking distance from the condo)

They don't have a huge pizza menu, there are 4 different types on the menu. My husband is a 'traditional' pizza person, so we got the Margherita (Margherita and Pepperoni are his preference). It was REALLLLLLY good. We had one minor complaint, that it could have been cooked a hair longer. The complaint will not keep us from going back, it's definitely one of the best in the area.

We walked in just as it opened and were the first seated (which may have something to do with feeling like the pizza was slightly underdone). Our waitress was polite and went into the kitchen when I asked if their bread had egg in it (it does). However, we didn't get a lot of attention from her other than the basics (drink order, food order). The food was delivered by someone else (probably from the kitchen, I didn't notice), I would have expected her to come check on us right after it came out but she did not - again, we were the first customers and it was a while before anyone else came in so she certainly wasn't that busy.

The decor is lovely and perfectly suited to their name and menu. I believe I ordered a beer and the hubs got a soda, so nothing fancy from the bar to report on. Neither of us visited the restroom.

We'll definitely be back. I look forward to eating that pizza again! Thank you for...

My wife and I are visiting from NYC, passed by this place and took a look at their menu outside. Seemed authentic, especially when the Italian manager with the authentic accent spoke to us and invited us in, I thought Romanissimo was the spot to dine. But I was clearly mistaken. Here’s something that will hopefully help your kitchen.

Fresh dough recipe - Flour, yeast, salt, sugar, olive oil & water. Very easy, can be prepared in large batches and have pizza made to order for your customers.

To be served what seemed to be 3x frozen naan bread from Trader Joe’s (picture of half of that bread), slap on some canned sauce, random herbs and cheese, place them next to each other and have the audacity to call it pizza is beyond my comprehension. The audacity to waste all the hard work you put into the ambience of this place to serve sub-par “Italian” food, is beyond comprehension. I would’ve probably had a better experience at the pizza shop on the next corner. The service wasn’t good either. I get it, you had a few large parties and maybe the kitchen got backed up. No problem. But we didn’t have a server assigned to the table, Cesar salad took 20 min to come out, a simple lettuce, croutons and dressing. The lobster pasta was bland, the ricotta filling needs seasoning, and needed more bĂ©chamel sauce on the plate.

You have a lot of potential but no competition. Whoever decides to open an Italian restaurant near yours will make a...

Absolutely phenomenal! We started our night elsewhere and was severely disappointed before we came here. I've never left a more raving 5 star review for food before. We have talked about coming back to SD just for this place even, it's that good.

The appetizer with honey, whipped ricotta, pear, and bruschetta was absolutely phenomenal to say the least. Oysters for her were incredible where she isn't sure she has ever had such quality before. Now for entrees, where we did the lasagna and the Pappardelle. I cannot speak highly enough about either of these dishes, seriously.

Alec was our server, whom knocked it so far out of the park with his knowledgeable service, genuine kindness and professionalism that I couldn't fault a single thing if I tried. I've NEVER been more sure of someone embodying the heart of what service should be.

Truly, thank you to everyone involved in making this such a memorable experience. Then, to top it off with a tiramisu that floored me, where I am a bit of a snob (I admit) - Further cannot speak highly enough.

Thank you for helping me turn around my partners birthday and our entire night with such a blissful memory. We will be back,...
