A typical Starbucks experience. The coffee is good enough, the baristas are actually really nice, and the atmosphere here is definitely laid back and chill. It's located next to a Vons and a HUGE apartment complex, so people are going in and out frequently. It's not very quiet, but there is lots of indoor seating available, and a good (although there could be more tbh) amount of outlets are available to use for work/study on your laptop or whatever else you may need an outlet for. There are lots of tables to sit at, 4 comfortable lounging chairs, and an L shaped seating area with comfortable booth like seats, and round tables. The location is very spacious, and even though many people come here, there is almost always seating and outlets available. I love coming here to sit down, drink some coffee and write code. It's a bit loud, so headphones are recommended. The area it's located in is also a nice area, somewhat near the mission valley and fashion valley malls and best buy, among others, and has a drive through. Overall, a good Starbucks experience. I'd say above average for...
Read moreI’ve visited this location roughly 5-7 times. Every single time I have visited this location I have had the displeasure of being around the store manager. My first few visits he was rude, unfriendly, and showed zero understanding of customer service (his core role as a store manager). Tonight was the last time I will ever visit this location. I watched him point and laugh at me and my partner, while he was around a younger employee. To which she laughed and replied “omg you’re so bad”. I’ve never in my life been ridiculed by an employee of a retail establishment. The core value of inclusivity is a major pillar of Starbucks success, and unfortunately this franchisee hired a store manager that represents the exact antithesis of that core value. I can only imagine the number of customers who have or will experience the exact same level of disrespect. Specifically for the owner of this location, your store manager is a liability to your success and the type of human that frankly doesn’t belong in ANY...
Read moreThis happened around 4PM on Monday.
This is usually my go-to spot for studying and getting work done, and I’ve always had positive experiences until today. The atmosphere is generally great, and the customer service is typically top-notch. However, today, I was treated poorly by one particular cashier.
Earlier in the day, I had ordered food and was working on my laptop. At one point, I asked the cashier for a water cup. Instead of simply providing one, he insisted on charging me for it and questioned whether I planned on purchasing anything else. When I explained that I had already made a purchase and offered to show him my receipt, he reluctantly agreed to get the water for me.
I waited for over five minutes, even though the store was empty and I could see him standing around doing nothing. Unfortunately, I never received the water cup, and the service was extremely disappointing.
I’ve always enjoyed coming here, but today’s experience left me frustrated and...
