Woody's Breakfast And Burgers — Restaurant in San Diego

Avoid Woody’s Breakfast and Burgers at all costs. This place is a complete train wreck and hands down one of the most poorly run restaurants I’ve ever experienced. We came in on Saturday, July 5th around 1pm and placed a lunch order for five people. What followed was an infuriating, chaotic disaster from start to finish.

We waited over 55 minutes for our food while watching sheer dysfunction unfold behind the counter. The kitchen had zero communication with the expediter, who looked one step away from walking off the job. Food was pouring out of the kitchen in to-go boxes, piling up and sitting in the window, getting cold and ignored while she spun in circles clearly not knowing what was going on. It was obvious they had no system and no leadership.

We saw dozens of people who ordered after us get their food long before we did. After 45 minutes, I asked for a manager—who might as well have been a customer, because he was just as lost and confused. Eventually, we found out they had given away the burgers from our order MULTIPLE times, while the rest of our food just sat there, completely forgotten and getting colder by the minute.

When we finally got our food nearly an HOUR later, only the burgers were warm (because they had to be remade). Everything else was ice cold, ruined, and disgusting. And the worst part? No apology. No refund. No accountability. They just tossed us the bags like we were an inconvenience and moved on.

There is absolutely no excuse for this level of incompetence, and the fact that management allowed it to continue without even acknowledging the failure says everything. Woody’s shouldn’t be in business. If this place disappeared tomorrow, Pacific Beach would be better for it. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration—do...

Woody's is a small outdoor restaurant with a lot of attraction for all. It is set on the Pacific Beach Boardwalk... An absolute phenomenon! Woody's is screamingly busy everytime I visit (especially during the summer months).

Sometimes they have live music even though Woody's is very small.

What's the big attraction? Well besides the good food and friendly service it is the perfect front row seat to watch literally hundreds of people walking by all day long (maybe thousands). They also have a nice upper Deck with great views of entire Beach both north and south.

I enjoyed the great views of the Pacific Ocean as I do everyone I visit. I found it very easy to talk with other customers (they told me they really like Woody's too!!!).

This place is the ideal location to both observe and be observed while enjoying the stunning views of Pacific Beach. The food and coffee offerings are also of great quality. I discovered this unpretentious beach eatery, which exudes a nostalgic boardwalk ambiance and provides an excellent vantage point for watching surfers conquer the waves. Notably, there is a second balcony seating level that may go unnoticed at first. You can access it through the door at the back, leading to a pleasant surprise.
