Joybird apparently has no quality control. we had to get the same item delivered 3 times in order to get one that was acceptable. the first one had a damaged hinge that was splitting the wood/causing the door to sag/scape the frame. the second one was not finished. it has unfinished, chipping/splintering wood everywhere you looked. The legs literally fell off as they delivered it. Instead of taking it back, they told us we had to accept it and have a furniture repair person come out and repair it, but when the legs were literally falling off, I told them I'm not accepting it. The delivery guys thought i was crazy for trying to accept it (i thought i was too), but i was told that i had to. the third one has scratches on the back, but that's ok given where it's located in the house. they don't book returns with the deliveries. I emailed them on Friday about this issue, and haven't gotten a response by Tuesday, so I followed up with their live chat and now I have to wait 1-2 days for the warranty team to approve a return that should have been scheduled with the delivery. This company is a joke. STAY AWAY. Update So, after them not ordering for the damaged item to be picked up I followed up with them same day (Friday). No response. I followed up on Tuesday. no response. I follow up via the instant chat and they say I'll get a call in 2-10 days to schedule the pickup. No follow-up. On day 9, I follow up via the instant chat and get told I'll be forwarded to a manager. 10 minutes later i get a call from the delivery company. I ask them why did it take 9 days (13-days from the delivery) to schedule this. They told me they didn't get the request until 5 minutes ago. Turn around and shop with Scandinavian Design or Room and Board. Companies that take responsibility for their mistakes.

Avoid Joybird at all costs! This has been the absolute worst furniture purchase experience of my life. We bought the Eliot Sleeper Couch hoping for a durable, dog-friendly piece. Instead, we got a lemon and a masterclass in how not to treat customers. The "protection plan" we bought was worthless. Within months, the buttons and tufting started coming apart. Joybird dragged their feet for months before sending someone to "fix" it. Those repairs lasted a week. Then, the buttons started rusting. The cushions? Garbage. They sagged and looked years old within a year. Joybird's response? They tried to make us pay for replacements, claiming the warranty didn't cover it. This was a recurring theme: every issue was met with resistance and stinginess. Their default was always "how can I deny this claim," never "how can I make this right." Even with the new cushions (which we had to buy!), our dog had a minor accident, and the pee soaked straight through to the bed underneath – a clear manufacturing defect. Joybird didn't care. Then, the storage compartment's wood completely cracked. On top of the quality defects, there are major design flaws. The cushions constantly slide forward when anyone sits, and the storage container is falling apart. These issues remain unresolved. We've contacted Joybird countless times – calls, emails, store visits. Their customer service is appalling. They're rude, unhelpful, and hide behind their warranty and protection plan terms. This couch is overpriced junk. Joybird's response has been even worse. Don't waste your money. Shop elsewhere. I will never buy from Joybird again, and I'm warning everyone I know to do the same.

Took advantage of their sale and found one of their brick and mortar locations in SF to place an order for their sofas. It took over a month to get it, probably because it was being made in China. When it finally arrived, the quality wasn’t on par to what I saw at their showroom. Specifically, the stitching was poorly done on one arm rest, causing part of the padding to slide back and result in the wood piece to protrude the sofa material. Then, there’s the stuffing of the back and seating cushions, which were poorly done, which caused asymmetrical shaping. Lastly, the sofa throw pillows were stuffed with the wrong size padding, causing the pillows to look like boulders. You can see what I mean by looking at the picture - comparing a regular throw pillow with the one they provided. I basically spent over $2,000 for a sofa that I could have easily paid $500 to living spaces or wayfair for the same quality… and it would’ve been delivered faster. Lesson learned.

I recently relocated to San Francisco and, like many people starting fresh in a new city, I needed to furnish my apartment. After some online research and browsing through social media, I came across Joybird, which led me to discover SF showroom & to Haven and, more specifically, Richard. This was a game-changing find, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and expertise Richard and Haven provided.

From the moment I reached out, Richard was not only responsive but incredibly attentive. I had specific ideas about the type of furniture I was looking for, but I was also open to suggestions since I was unfamiliar with the local design trends and options. Richard’s professionalism and deep knowledge of design immediately stood out. He took the time to understand my personal style, the vibe I wanted for my new space, and the practical needs I had in terms of furniture selection and layout. He offered insightful recommendations and even introduced me to new concepts I hadn’t considered, all while making sure my preferences and budget were prioritized.

What impressed me most was Richard’s approach to blending the beauty and functionality of the pieces. He suggested some fantastic items from Joybird, which I had seen online but hadn’t yet considered in the context of my space. Richard’s eye for detail was exceptional—he helped me select pieces that perfectly complemented my home’s layout and aesthetic, from sofas and chairs to unique accent pieces. His recommendations were thoughtful, tailored, and on point.

Throughout the process, Richard was patient and thorough. He answered all my questions about material choices, finishes, and sizes with incredible expertise. It was clear that he wasn’t just trying to sell furniture but genuinely wanted to help me create a home that felt comfortable, stylish, and functional. Richard also helped me with everything from ordering to delivery coordination, ensuring that the whole process was seamless. He even followed up after the furniture arrived to make sure everything was perfect and that I was satisfied with the pieces.

They offered a carefully curated selection of high-quality furniture, and it’s clear they’re passionate about creating beautiful, functional spaces. The showroom itself is stunning, with a wide range of options that cater to a variety of tastes and budgets. But what truly sets Joybird apart is their exceptional customer service, Richard and Haven is a perfect reflection of that. The level of care, knowledge, and support I received from him was beyond anything I expected, making my entire furniture shopping experience enjoyable and stress-free.

Thanks to Richard and Haven, my new San Francisco home is now furnished with beautiful, well-chosen pieces that I love. I am so grateful for the assistance and expertise they provided in helping me create a space that is not only stylish but truly functional. If you’re looking for top-tier design recommendations, personalized service, and a seamless shopping experience, I cannot recommend Richard and Haven highly enough. They are, without a doubt, the best in...
