"An absolute culinary delight! Sprezzatura restaurant in San Francisco is a hidden gem that left us in awe. From the moment we stepped inside, Manny, our knowledgeable and attentive server, made us feel like VIPs. He recommended the Prosciutto & Melone Spritz, a refreshing and perfectly balanced cocktail that paired beautifully with our meal. Manny also guided us through a selection of different wines, each one enhancing our dining experience.
What truly impressed us was the personal touch from Executive Chef Joseph himself, who took the time to greet us at our table. It was a testament to the genuine passion and dedication that goes into every dish served at Sprezzatura. We felt truly honored and appreciated as guests.
Speaking of the food, every bite was a flavor explosion. From the delicate and perfectly cured prosciutto to the vibrant, juicy melon, each ingredient showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality and craftsmanship. The dishes were thoughtfully composed, and the flavors harmonized beautifully.
The ambiance of Sprezzatura restaurant was sophisticated yet inviting, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. The attention to detail was evident in the decor, which added to the overall dining experience.
We cannot recommend Sprezzatura enough to those seeking an extraordinary dining experience in San Francisco. With Manny's impeccable service, Chef Joseph's culinary expertise, and the wonderful selection of dishes and drinks, Sprezzatura is a true standout. It's a place where genuine hospitality and exceptional food converge to create unforgettable memories. Five stars...
Read moreI thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful 9-Course meal, plus 3 cocktails and 2 glasses of wine. I was on a work trip, and being wined and dined, so thank gawd I didn't have to pay! Gorgeous modern Italian restaurant with very friendly staff all around. Most dishes were fantastic, a few were so so. Note: the Expresso Martinis are really delicious, and really strong on caffeine!
ROASTED BEETS & RADICCHIO DI TREVISO $17 and LITTLE GEM & ASPARAGUS $18...both lovely unique and creative salads, large enough to share!
HAWAIIAN BIG EYE TUNA CARPACCIO $23...SO GOOD! So fresh, delicate, smooth, and sensational.
AGNOLOTTI ALLA RICOTTA E MORTADELLA $29...elevated ravioli with creamy fluffy ricotta, morel mushrooms, and other secret ingredients.
NORTHERN HALIBUT $42...I hate eating flat fish because they so darn cute, but didn't want him going to waste. Thick chunks of whitefish, in a white creamy sauce that was rather tasteless, and it was chewy and overcooked, not light and flaky...might have been due to a big group dinner.
MASAMI RANCH WAGYU STRIP $125...expensive and delicious! Tender, succulent, juicy, medium rare wagyu beef slices...so good! Great! But having eaten a lot of sub $100 steaks in my life, it's not worth it.
LAMILL ESPRESSO TIRAMISÙ $12...a large mug of Tiramisu cream, didn't have any cake or cookie.
BUDINO DI RISO VIALONE NANO $12...I hate rice pudding in general, but I didn't hate this one, so it must be good?
PISTACIO CAKE and Gelato $15...lovely gelato! But the cake was a bit dry and bland. Portion is rather small for this...
Read moreThis place looks beautiful from the outside but looks can be deceiving. The noise inside was so loud it was impossible to hear the other person talking at the table. Next, the drinks are either too bitter or don’t have flavoring components mixed in. The presentation of the drinks was lovely but the flavor was terrible. I got the cantaloupe spritz and I could not finish it. We ordered the meatballs, deviled eggs, asparagus salad, mussels and tuna crudo. Although service was lovely and attentive and food was plated and presented well most of it was a miss. The deviled eggs were ok but a little too liquidy and oily. The mussels tasted funny and the sauce smelled terrible that even having the bowl near me put me off. The tuna was terrible. I think the sushi at Gus’s tastes better than the crudo that was 5 thin slices and cost $24. All of the flavor combos did not pair well. The only good thing about the salad were the pieces of avocado and the jammy egg. Otherwise it lacked salt, dressing and flavor. We were disappointed and left to find somewhere else to finish dinner despite spending almost $200. Go if your work is paying but don’t eat the food. I’m surprised people say the food is good. It’s quite overpriced and tasteless. Even my bf, who is quite laidback, said this place was...
