I walked in very dehydrated, after my long journey. Expected to be welcomed in to the great city of San Francisco.
Instead to my surprise I walk in to Coffee Bodega Farm-To-Table and get asked if I will be dining in or getting take out. Confused, I asked if they would be closing soon, as I did not want to bother them. The worker said they were not closing but he did not think the store had the adequate seats for me. I turned around and noticed no one was in the store. I turned back to confirm what I had just heard, and looking around at all the other servers I realized I was in fact getting told I would not fit in the chairs. I am a bigger guy, it is true there are many chairs I would not fit into, but there were plenty of chairs, benches, long chairs I could obviously fit into in that shop.
I was not mad or sad, honestly just confused. I hope they realize that people with different bodies are more than aware we have different bodies. You do not need to remind us, we do not enter establishments trying to break...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recommend this place with a few reservations. first off, donāt come here if you are in a rush to get someplace else. The pour over coffee took longer than five minutes to get, but it was so smooth although I wouldāve liked the coffee warmer. I saw the owner from afar and I understand what a couple of the reviews were referring to, yes, his personality is a little rough around the edges and standoffish. The person ringing me up, however, was helpful which I appreciated being that I was trying this place out for the first time. They ran out of the regular empanadas, but had the corn covered empanadas, which was good, but small for the price. I do like all the greenery in the shop and I think itās a nice place to sit down and save that sip of coffee but not for an on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love everything about Coffee Bodega, from their ethically sourced amazing coffee and knowledgable, welcoming baristas to the relaxing atmosphere. I first stopped in a year ago, drawn in by their fun sandwich board marketing sign with beautiful photography from the coffee fields promoting "Pure Latin American Dope" and the disclaimer "Not actually dope. Just great coffee. So good, it doesn't need sugar". The owner was friendly and took the time to discuss the business and the origins of the coffee. Every drink I've had there has been amazing and unique, unlike so many cookie cutter coffee shops. Ariana at the Fremont Street location was especially personable and a pleasure to interact with at...
