First of all, our waiter brought us seltzer water before even giving us a chance to look at the menu, and we had to later find out that it costed us 8$ on our bill. Also, the only regular water they had was tap water that tasted bad.
I ordered the bolognese rigatoncine pasta, however when our food was brought to us (table of 4) they brought everyone elses food out at the same time except for mine, and i had to wait an extra 10 minutes to get my pasta. This would not have been too terrible if our waiter hadn't asked if we wanted our food brought out all at the same time, and it is overall inconsiderate practice as a server and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for me as a customer.
Referencing the pasta I ordered, this was the worst part - being the most expensive pasta on the menu ($25), as well as arriving late, the pasta noodles were chewy, undercooked, and inedible!
I had to call our waiter (who btw was rarely to be found) and tell him about the inconvenience, requesting a bowl of pasta that was edible and more cooked, but he said he could only make me the gluten free version if i wanted softer pasta... i reluctantly accepted and had to wait another stint of time before I recieved my food.
Also to note, the entire staff acted pretty unprofessional, as many were singing loudly, dancing throughout the store, and chatting with each other instead of attending to their paying customers.
Although my new bowl of pasta was better, and the food my companions ordered was alright as well, i cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone visiting the San Francisco coast. Please find another restaurant to avoid the bad atmosphere, undercooked food, and overall...

Visited to try out their new brunch menu.
Food Market Soft Scramble - Delicious!! I wish I could make my scrambled eggs so creamy. The potatoes were also perfect. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Zeppole - Absolutely divine. Crispy and gooey at the same time with a side of lemon curd. Corn Pizza with fried egg. Have had their corn pizza multiple times and love it. The egg was very very runny. Wish o had not ordered the brunch version of it. The brunch menu was limited. Basically the standard menu with a few eggs items added. They only had drip coffee. They were not able to accommodate requests for any substitutions. We had a vegetarian in the group and they were not able to substitute the meat for any veggies.
Service They were severely understaffed so service was very slow. The staff that was there was very helpful. They were doing the best they could.
Ambiance We sat outside in their park-let. Although the weather was perfect the seating was very very tight. We were being squeezed from both sides. We had a senior citizen in our party and it was very difficult for them to get up every time anyone wanted to cross.

This has been our regular neighborhood place but this was the first time we dined there on 'Neighborhood' Night. Loved it. Special discounted menu (but standard portions). Have marked by calendar for the last Thursday of the month.

Read moreI used to come often when it was Gioia and still enjoy it now as Fiorella. Our server Stephanie is beyond awesome! Veggie appetizers were excellent. I love the beet salad (though it didn't have many beet slices) and roasted brussel sprouts. We had a margherita pizza (good), and 2 versions of bolognese. We had burrata on the pizza pie and had to immediate dissect it so that its water stopped weighing down the dough. It would be great for the kitchen to recognize this about burrata and pull it apart evenly when plating as other pizza specialty places do.
I don't know about my friend's rigatoni bolognese but I opted to switch the pasta to chitarra. It was still hard and undercooked, not al dente and could have used 1-2 more minutes in boiling salted water. It's a lovely menu and vibe but the lack of pasta noodle choices is a little disappointing. Meaning there is spaghetti, bucatini, chitarra (all long thin) but no tagliatelle or papardelle for the bolognese. Hopefully they up their pasta offerings to be more varied and robust to carry the sauces.
It could be an even better dining experience if the plating was more finessed (plating the pasta in a spiral, not just dumping it onto the plate, as well as the other small dishes).
A great place to meet w friends and show guests from out of town. I do love eating...
