I went on a Sunday with a friend. The line moves quickly, and there's some seating outside. Staff is friendly. My friend got the Mama's Breakfast Burrito with brisket added and I had the Chicken Caesar Wrap.
I thought the wrap had good flavor from the chicken, but it was a little too drenched with dressing. The tortilla itself was a little too chewy, which screams to me that it was either plopped in the microwave for a few seconds or wasn't left on any flattop long enough. There was also only one or two croutons, which was a bummer because it felt as though I didn't have much to balance the softness of all the ingredients.
My friend said that the breakfast burrito was mid. Nothing special there, and the brisket was also pretty bland. I would say the most exciting flavors came from the smoked salsa and the harissa aioli.
The wrap and burrito are pretty good sizes. Honestly though, the flavors itself could have been better. It just wasn't worth it. I've had better wraps for cheaper elsewhere. This place is definitely just "trend" material and...

FOOD: 5/5 I ordered the wild mushroom wrap & orange/ginger/carrot juice. The wrap was sooo delicious. Every single ingredient was so perfectly flavored and seasoned. The mushrooms were easy to eat and not slimy. Both the chutneys were so delicious (reminded me of my mom's cooking!). Don't skip out on the labneh to dip the wrap, it brings everything together. Also the portions are MASSIVE. I probably could have had the wrap over 2 days (but who has the patience for that?!). The juice was also super delicious and refreshing. It was sweet and perfect for a hot SF day!
SERVICE: 5/5 The owner is at the front - he was super friendly & welcoming. The food came out fast but was really warm and freshly made.
PARKING: 5/5 Street parking is pretty easy in this area
OVERALL: Would recommend! I will definitely be back I really want to try the...
Read moreFinding halal food in San Francisco is always a win, and Mama’s Luncheonette is an absolute gem, especially for the Marina/Cow Hollow area. This spot is popular for a reason – everything is fresh, and tastes fire.
The breakfast burrito with brisket and the lamb wrap are my go-tos. Both are packed with flavor and perfect for a hearty start to the day. The drinks are great too – their lemonade is perfect on a sunny afternoon.
I love the neighborhood too – it’s charming, safe, and filled with cute shops and cafes. Plus, it’s just a short walk from the water, making it perfect for a scenic stroll after your meal. If you’re ever in the Marina/Cow Hollow area, stopping by Mama’s is a must. It may be popping though, so there could be a bit of a wait, but the food and vibe make it totally worth it!
Edit: I just tried the mclovin its...
