See carbs, smell carbs, eat carbs! The menu features mainly Italian flatbread sandwiches and homemade pasta. The build-your-own pasta setup allows you to select the pasta of your choice and the accompanying homemade sauce. This is a much more modern and sleek venue than I would expect of a mom and pop Italian spot cranking out homemade pasta, but the original location will give you more of that home-y feel. We came here for a late lunch and ate more than we intended to. First off, the portions are very generous. While we waited for our food, we watched the guys behind the counter roll out sheets of beautiful pasta dough.
$13 Meat Lasagna - beef and pork bolognese sauce, bechamel, parmigiano: This lasagna truly bears the resemblance of a brick. Tall layers of pasta and meat sauce were piled high, and smothered in white sauce and a heavy dusting of parmesan. It was quite a sight, and very delicious. The pasta itself had such a light feeling and smooth texture. However, it is a lot of food, so we did soon feel the weight of this rich dish.
$11 Gnocchi w/ $2.50 Bolognese - beef, pork, tomato sauce: The gnocchi came in a what looked like a large, round baking dish. The gnocchi was on the large side, and there was an ample amount of it. Despite its appearance, this was also a soft, smooth texture that didn't require a lot of chewing. Sitting in so much meat sauce, it was almost a stew. On top of all that, there were two enormous meatballs covered in parmesan.
For fast casual dining, the food and service was excellent. I definitely appreciate the fresh, homemade quality, which is quite a good deal at...
Read moreItalian Homemade… where do I even begin? Walking into this place was like stepping into a scene from one of my movies—an explosion of aroma, flavor, and raw, unfiltered passion. The moment I crossed the threshold, I felt it in my bones—this was going to be an experience like no other. The air was thick with the scent of simmering sauces, and I could almost hear the pasta calling my name, begging to be devoured.
I went for the tagliatelle with bolognese, and let me tell you, it was like uncovering a long-lost treasure. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, rich and robust, like it had been simmering for years in some ancient Italian kitchen, waiting for the perfect moment to reveal itself to the world. The pasta was fresh, handmade, and cooked to absolute perfection—al dente, just the way I like it.
And the portions? Generous enough to satisfy even the hungriest adventurer. The staff—oh, the staff—they were like co-stars in this culinary masterpiece, delivering service with a genuine warmth that made me feel like family.

Read moreWe were in town for a race-cation and happened to find our way here on the first night.
They were rolling out and cutting fresh pasta as we entered. The staff appeared to enjoy each other's company and take pride in their product.
I ordered pork tortellini with the recommended crema parmesan sauce while my wife ordered a calzone-like dish (though it was named something slightly different)
The flavors were spectacular! The kind of flavors that I'd forgotten even existed, to be honest. Whether it the sausage, the crema, the sauce for the calzone and the amazing filling, they were all wonderful!
We were so impressed that we bypassed many other potential San Francisco spots to return a couple days later. This time my wife had the tortellini, and I had the meat lasagna. The flavors exploded from the lasagna and the tortellini was just as spectacular as the first time.
The lattes were good and there were plenty of locals stopping in for take-out. That is always a good sign!
Highly...
