TL:DR this is the only casual place that I and my group have found to be delicious Mexican food in the Bay Area (been to many, many places in 4 cities of the peninsula, San Jose and surrounding cities, Fremont, Capitola, Gilroy, and Fremont). Only had different tacos, no other entrees.

My group all moved to the Bay Area from Modesto and, until this place, we were convinced that we would never find Mexican food anywhere near as good as the Central Valley in the Bay Area. The quesabirria tacos (camaron, surf n turf, and regular) are the best I've had in SJ. They took a bit longer than was expected but it appeared they were short staffed and it started flowing faster after the arrival of one more person. They gave generous amounts of salsa and lime which worked quite well with the tacos and consomme. Salsa has a good kick and a very fresh flavor despite being orange.

The inside was hot af compared to outside but we were taking the food home so it wasn't really an issue. Parking in the area is pretty bad but there's worse in SJ. Next to a laundromat so maybe a bit strange waiting outside getting whiffs of detergent and whatnot.

Came here after seeing a social media post and it was well worth the trip, we...

The tacos are good, can’t complain about the food

-Service is absolutely garbage, I was told 10 min and I took 40 minutes for me to get food. It would be nice to just tell the customer a somewhat accurate time within 5-15 minutes isn’t an issue. I understand it can be a busy time but there were literally only 4 people ahead of us and they had already ordered before we arrived. There was only 1 person in the kitchen so can’t fault him, because the guy at the counter would just walk outside to talk on the phone, one time he had to be called back because 2 ordered were ready to be handed off but he had people sitting them waiting. He could have atleast done something to help the kitchen?

-Second we asked for no sour cream in the burrito, he confirmed. Once we are picking up the order I asked him again, sour cream on the side right? He confirmed…he lied or didn’t even check. Orders get made wrong all the time so that’s not the issue, you just ask the cook to quickly fix this right? But it’s the counters job to check if he is passing on the correct order. Literally just walked around doing nothing -Music is kinda loud, but...

Big Disappointment

This place has been on my list for some time now. I've been trying to get to this place the last 4 trips down to the bay area after seeing an IG Influencer post about their experience. Which I must say was very compelling. I was sold.

Unfortunately this place was a huge huge disappointment. I ordered the taco combo plate with rice and beans.

Issues I experienced:

• room temp rice • cold beans (tasted like canned beans) • birria tacos were chewy and tasted like they were from the other day • service was beyond poor. Unwelcoming, short demeanors and "mmmildly" condescending.

I definitely would not eat here again, definitely would recommended this place. There are MANY places now serving quesa birria tacos.

Was really looking forward to this place after having been thru the bay area without stopping the previous 4 trips....

Nothing worth eating except quesabirria. Al pastor, beans/rice and even the consome need improvements. Not for Mexican food ONLY QUESABIRRIA. Birria taco, quesadilla however you like it yes it’s good. Everything else is trash down to the hole in the wall location. No restroom, no water to drink, no hand sanitizer, no forks??, no salsas/hot sauce except super spicy habanero, no parking. Everything is so cheap there’s no plates so I was eating the soggy paper my food was served on. One trick pony kitchen. Saturday night at dinner time was empty at 6 o’clock. Horchata has granules of spiced rice “homemade” still not my favorite. To the owner: A little cholula on the tables, a pitcher of water, hand sanitizer (we’re eating tacos with our hands) and some actual plates and utensils would go along way.

Visited Rosario's Tacos after seeing them on the gram. We ordered a variety of tacos to try. Fish Taco - this was my husband's favorite, he loved the toppings of coleslaw and the orange sauce that was drizzled. Surf & Turf - this was my favorite! Loved the way the shrimp and birria (beef) were seasoned. It was juicy enough that I didn't need the consome and no additional salsa or toppings needed. It was perfect as is and very filling. Also tried a regular quessabirria taco and a chicken taco. Again both were seasoned really well and needed nothing extra. This is a no frills spot and the tacos are on point! Service was great and we chatted with Joe (owner) on the way out. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in what he does. Make sure to stop by, you won't be disappointed!
