Went yesterday to a Sushi restaurant in Condado, that was the best on the Island! It had everything! From private rooms, to private children's room, with high quality highchairs! The Sushi Chef was incredible! Bilingual, friendly and welcoming staff. Full bar with seating at the bar, on the second floor. Handicap parking and entrance, with tables to accommodate a wheelchair! Seating had many options! Could sit, outside in the sun or shade. Inside, near the many windows or in a cozy corner! Restrooms were clean and fresh. Large screen T.V.'s,for all your Sports. Especially the World Cup on 20 November! Seating outside, had a rail for your safety! Parking was plentiful, on site; with a large covered entrance. (In case, it was raining out). Many Camara's inside and out. Will going back very soon! Went back on St. Patrick's day, Sherlie treated me very nice! Came back today 3 January 2025. Menu has changed; more items to try. Quiet and peaceful! All employees are professional...
Read moreThis was as random of a "stumble upon" as they come for a first time San Juan visitor aimlessly wandering the streets passing the time before a flight.
The Crab Rangoon was very good, with good filling. The water and cocktails took a bit to arrive but the Moscow Mule was very good, nicely balanced ginger flavor. Lastly I ordered the Tokyo Roll, which was also very good, the shrimp was huge and delicious.
I can surmise that Rakuten is a great local spot for regulars as the menu is massive and they were able to serve a quality meal at 3pm in the afternoon on a random Monday. The food was better than most of the meals I had during my stay San Juan, but the sushi was about on par with something I could get in the states.

Read moreI recently enjoyed a wonderful Valentine’s Day lunch at this Chinese restaurant in Puerto Rico, and it was a fantastic experience. There is free parking which makes it so convenient especially here in San Juan. On top of that the staff were warm and accommodating, ensuring our afternoon was special. In terms of their food, I have to say that they are also really innovative with how they’ve combined Japanese, Chinese and Puerto Rican cuisines. I would definitely check out the sushi here for those fusion flavors that I described, you will definitely not regret the delicious and pretty presentation. We also got some tequila sunrise during happy hours, praise their bartender for such a beautifully crafted drink. Whether for a special occasion or a casual meal, this restaurant is a must visit. I’ll definitely be returning every time I visit...
