I had come back from taking my mother to the cardiologist on Thursday, and was running late, was hungry, did not feel like preparing a meal, or taking the time to do so, thought I would try the new pizza place that I got the brochure. I went online, and tried twice, going over it to see if there was some box I had left unchecked, but the website would not let me choose the delivery option, it was whited out no matter what I did. But I was determined I was going to try the pizza out, so I placed the order to pickup, and made the half-mile walk from where I live. The order was finished on time and ready to go when I got there, although the attendant was a little uncommunicative (but not rude) when handing me my pizza, as she was the one looking at the box I would have appreciated a verbal confirmation that it was mine before she handed it to me, but that's really a small matter. By the time I carried it back, well, the pizza was not hot anymore, I had to microwave for about 20 seconds. That probably didn't help me assess the quality of the pizza at its best. I see some have remarked on the "doughy" texture of the crust. But I like that. My issue with the pizza was more a matter of the fact that the toppings were falling off most of the slice. I got the "works" so I don't know if it was a fact of having too many toppings, but it seemed to me more like the toppings were not cooked that well into the pizza itself. But the flavor was good. The price was good. But it was with a coupon. At the same price, I'd definitely order again, at a higher price, I'd weigh my options. This is not to say the regular price is in any way unreasonable, but convenience and proximity are factors one often takes into consideration when ordering pizza, not just flavor. I would not walk half a mile and back...
Read moreI rarely order delivery, but if I do order delivery it's only because they have their own delivery service. Marco's failed to mention that they also use DoorDash if they have no drivers there. Had I known that I would not have ordered delivery from there. Reason, now I get no updates as to when my pizza is ready for delivery and on it's way. So, as of now, my pizza ordered by 3:30 pm has been ready for 30 minutes based on first phone call to Marco's @3:48 because tracking my order it claimed it was it delivered and it wasn't. My second phone was because now i don't know when it will be picked up and routed for delivery. An hour and 10 minutes later... my pizza us delivered by MY NERGHBOOR 4 house down. I then call Marco's and they're busy, the girl on the phone says the guy I spoke to earlier said I Need to call DoorDash. WHAT??? I didn't ordered thru DoorDash..I ordered thru Marco's. Your employee said they called DoorDash. I'M DONE. I know you're busy and could talk, but just like a previous post... don't seem to care about their customers being satisfied. Why would they.... they already...
Read moreI utterly love this place & the cooks cranking out this amazing pizza & their other amazing products. Only minor comment goes to those cooks. That think the product comes out of their paycheck. Like they get paid extra for skimping on orders. Never understood these types...Unless they think it will deter someone from ordering. With hopes of it lightening their workload. If that's the mindset. Another place of employment is key. It only gets harder & orders come in like a flooded bathroom. A little goes a long way. A positive outlook always makes the stressful time watching drift away. That's all I can say to those having a tough day. Customers start generously tipping. When consistency & kind hearted souls deliver amazing, well proportioned food.🤘🙏
Keep your heads up and the amazing work. This goes to the older staff more so. Make sure co-workers pull their weight. Acting slow at pizza making needs to be called out. It strengthens...
