Wow. That broke my heart. I was helping a person with Downs Syndrome get a meal here at South Towne. Panda should be ashamed. Juanita literally walked away from us as we were making choices. She went back and just seemed to ignore us. She was talking to Emely. Neither of them did anything to acknowlege us. Chad was so uncomfortable for us, his cheeks turned red. Chad was pretty new with the register and was "manning" his station. The person I was helping had saved money for a week to get this food. We really waited for over five minutes. There were no customers. I counted 4 employees who could have helped. It wasn't until another customer came and literally leaned over the counter that Juanita decided to come back to the the serving table. She tried to help the other customer, but he insisted we were there first. I had to say what we wanted several times. She kept putting her hand on her hip and just looking at us. I had to point and instruct her. She went up and whispered something in Chad's ear. He rung up over $13.00. She had put one egg roll, a scoop of orange chicken, and three shrimp in the platter this individual chose. I had to open the platter and make a demand to reconsider the choice. There was a lineup of people and I felt so bad having to make them wait, but the people waiting started to agree with me and encourage me. Reluctantly, Emely came forward and gave Chad permission to change the price. I ordered no food for myself, I really wanted this person with disabilities to get what he was asking for all week. I hate bad reviewers. But that experience was uncommonly...
Read moreI love Panda Express food. Unfortunately, this location was very unprepared and slow, which gave me a negative overall experience. I was behind just one other person at around 5:00pm. I ordered a 2 entree of orange chicken with fried rice. The fried rice was empty, and the orange chicken was as good as empty. They hadn't even started preparing a new batch of fried rice, nor orange chicken, until I was ordering it. The person in front of me wanted fried rice too, so technically that should have sparked the making of the fried rice. Either way, it was probably a minute or two after I ordered that the chef in the back actually started preparing to make some fried rice. Looked like he was still cleaning out the wok first. And it wasn't until probably 5 minutes later that it looked like they started preparing a new batch of orange chicken. I ended up waiting about 15 or 20 minutes for the simplest order possible at Panda Express - fried rice and orange chicken - easily their most popular menu item. It baffles me that they hadn't even started preparing a new batch of fried rice or orange chicken until the woman in front of me and myself ordered food...at 5:00pm...on a weekend... which all restaurants should know is the start of the dinner time rush. I've never had to wait so long at Panda Express in my life, when I was just the 2nd person in line. I still love Panda Express as a whole, but my experience here makes me want to avoid this location...
Read moreThe food was fine but the old Asian woman was strange... I asked kindly for a hand full of hot mustard packets after getting plenty of food, she looked at me and handed me two. I asked kindly for a few more. Gives me two more starting to look way annoyed... I really love that stuff so I ecplained that to her and asked for a couple more... and that lady handed me... you guessed it... two more. So I said thank you and gave up. Paid for my food and waited for my change. When she didn't gove me it i was confused and told her i was waiting for it. She started talking about how my meal was $11.59 so she took $12.00. I told her "yeah so i should have change, right?" She kept going on for a minute and I just told her there shoud be change again. She angrily hands me one quarter. Whaaaat in the.... like I wouldn't freak out about $0.41 but i was so confused what...
