BRUNCH & FINE DINING Synonymous with oxymoron
My title is literally not supporting my 5-star post, but bare with me...
I will explain, and it will make sense: Brunch is the most simple executed meal, and fine dining is a more complex, acquired intensive dining experience. To combine the two is how I would believe the term Oxi might apply
But Sunday's Best breaks the boundaries in the cross breading. This place takes the concept of brunch to "The Another Level"!
Even though the boujee Kim Karashian flocks of Seagal are frequent to be seen here, I truly see that they are on to something This is the place to be, and there is no prejudice from staff (which is important)!
Sundays Best just wants to give you the best meal of the day, ever, and can care less how you look, they care more about the quality and the comfort, and exceed at both!
You may be faced with a higher price than your typical Southern Waffle House,Pancake House, or IHop, but there is a particular reason that sets Sunday's Best , above and beyond
To be bar non, the staff, although wearing 80's headbands, are just trying to let you know to relax, it's not a big deal it's breakfast B.. .Bring the PJ'S we don't care, just enjoy However, this is where the fine dining begins . Like a well-oiled machine, the team of staff prepares you for your epicurious brunch experience to remember, crave, and dream about enjoying again.
From the carefully curated dishes, water pitchers. Ambiance, straight to cocktails, cocktails, breakfast beverages, than meandering into the actual FOOD, the simplistic "Brunchy Dishes", have all of the sudden turned a typically mundane predictable egg and toast meal to a big ride at Disneyland with less wait time and more than you could ever dream!
I really love this place. You will spend more than you would at your typical Pancake House, but the whole team who works here from front of house, back of house, kitchen, and service, they exude the love where they work and want to share how amazing this experience of brunch is.
Spend just a little more, and it will be worth it. Comparatively, it's just a little more to learn about a true Brunch experience.
This is what Brunch is supposed to be. Thank you, chefs, kitchen, curators, front of house, and amazing servers! Can't wait to come back again to have a fine dining experience while eating d3viled eggs, French toast, biscuits &gravy, eggs Benedict, smoked Salmon toast, huevos Rancheros, and cocktails_mocktails,(Sorry I forgot to give a shout out to the mixologyit's at the bar, they rock!) Thank you, and if I overrated this place, it is because this place deserves to be at the highest rating of places to go for the food and experience, even though it's Brunch.
This is the most important meal of the day, so make it good!
(DISCLAIMER, I ATE MOST OF THE FOOD BEFORE TAKING PICTURES, BUT I PUT MY AWESOME MOM IN THE PHOTOS )
... came back last Sunday and the Brunch is my favorite ever! I forgot to give a shout out to this well-oiled machine breakfast hot spot: Marissa, Rachel, and Alfredo, and the Cooks/Chefs are too notch and give the...
Read moreFirst time we stepped foot into Sunday Best in Sandy, Utah. The entrance was unique and welcoming; the lounge area where you wait to be seated has a couch with pillows. The colors immediately captured my attention, hot pink, neon pink with a rosey abstract colors.
A kitchen counter across with a small bar area. The plates were a nice touch, delft blue-white plates. The other plate is pink-white. The dinner napkins were a nice soft rosey color. A diva atmosphere.
Our waitress was delightful, took our orders, promptly brought water. I went with the Truck Stop Breakfast, while my guest had beignets recommended by our server. When she brought over our breakfast, we notice at once the beignets looked over cooked (I understand cooks are very busy behind the scenes, they don't just cook/make one (1) item at a time, they cook multiple meals, prepare sauces, misc of other duties and work simultaneously, rowing with all oars). However, based on the menu price range, expected a higher standard.
My guest didn't consume much of it, it was too done. Her oat milk drink was delightful.
My Truck Stop breakfast looked fine. A bite of the sausage sent a message to my taste buds the sausage patty was very, very sweet, even if it was 'maple syrup' sausage patty, which it is not based on the menu, it would not matter either way; regular or maple. I couldn't help notice just how sweet it was.
All in all, I exchanged thoughts with my guest, she too, felt our breakfasts were less than mediocre and not a Wow sensation. Normally, I am kind-generous when it comes to reviews. Running-operating a business is a tough business, I get it and understand. It's unlike me to rate a 3 star based on all my reviews on Google.
Sunday Best is not bad or awful; yet it was not great, it lacked flavors and I don't mean salt or pepper in that regard. The eggs were over easy, my request, perfection. Hash browns was not crispy nor has flavors. The toast was big, edible and fine. I am unable to give a 5 star based on my first time experience in all aspects.
Our server was pleasant, however, she didn't ask, "Is everything okay?" like most restaurants would as a standard practice. It was not busy when we got there and when we left.
Food Portion: 5 Cleanness: 5 Noise Level: The music volume was perfect at first, sometime later, the music became really loud.

If you get a chance, check out the bathroom. Fancy floor text tiles, ceiling, a rectangle sink with decors, and two unique pictures hung in the bathroom.
Being a brunch restaurant, if they can step up to the flavors and raise the bars to a higher level, a possible 5 stars...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I dropped by on Sunday, Aug. 31st 2025 at 2:00PM for our reservation. It was our anniversary, but due to scheduling issues, we made time for an anniversary brunch rather than an anniversary dinner (if that’s even a thing lol.)
The restaurant was relatively slow, with plenty of open tables. I noticed that there were plenty front-of-house staff with a lot of servers running around, so I expected decent service—don’t get me wrong, our server was very friendly but not attentive. At 2:20, we finally received the server introduction and drink orders were taken.
I ordered the chicken and waffles, and my girlfriend ordered the pancakes.
My chicken and waffles were truly a disgrace. The chicken was soggy, with the meat having a black gummy texture in many spots. The waffles themselves had a course/grainy texture and were entirely soggy. The butter that came with the dish was very sour, possibly even spoiled; even if I get a response saying “it wasn’t butter,” it was still pungent enough to make me sick to my stomach before finishing my second piece of waffle.
My girlfriend’s pancakes came out runny and uncooked. After summoning the server to request a recook, it took an additional 20 minutes for a new stack of pancakes to make it to the table. Ironically enough, the second stack was WORSE than the first. The server swapped out the pancakes for the wedge salad, which took a while and left a lot to be desired, especially for the price. There was no further server follow-up after the salad.
Our server was over in the corner, socializing while rolling silverware with her back turned to us for the bulk of the remainder of our experience. We had empty cups until 2 minutes before she brought the check.
When we were finally able to pay, we eagerly left, abandoning most of our meals to be thrown away. All in all, our trip to Sunday’s Best was a horrible experience—one which will not be repeated or recommended.
