Late-night cravings? Midday comfort meal? Post-study reward? This is my go-to. No matter the time, it always hits!!!!
Let me just say this: I’ve eaten here more times than I can count. Morning, lunch, dinner, after class, after work, even at 2AM on a random Tuesday. And guess what? Not once have I ever had a bad experience. The atmosphere is always chill but full of life and there’s something comforting about knowing you can grab a full meal or even just a quick snack no matter what time of day it is. It’s not about “late-night eats,” it’s about all-the-time consistency. And they deliver every. single. time.
The staff is genuinely one of the reasons I keep coming back. There’s a girl who works the late-night window (if you know, you know) she always has her makeup done so cute, wears glasses, and is one of the sweetest humans ever. She remembers my food allergies, always double-checks the order, and makes sure everything is safe. That kind of care? At 1AM? Priceless. I’ve made friends with a few of the team members just from how often I come, and I always feel SAFE and comfortable.
Now let’s get into the real reason I keep coming here. THE FOOD. I have tried so many things on the menu, but I always go back to my forever order: 🌮 Chicken tacos with Baja sauce on corn tortillas 🍚 Rice and beans on the side 🧀 Queso and chips (non-negotiable) ELOTE? (a.k.a. Mexican street corn)
The tacos are perfect — juicy grilled chicken, a creamy and flavorful Baja sauce that brings it all together, and the corn tortillas YUMMMMM. The rice and beans? Immaculate. I’m a bean girl, and let me tell you, these beans are top tier flavorful, warm, and just the right texture. I could honestly eat a whole bowl of just the beans and be happy. The queso, though? Best I’ve ever had. No exaggeration. It’s rich, smooth, and so satisfying that I’ve literally stayed up late thinking about it. If you’re only ordering one thing, make it the queso. Trust me.
The only item I personally didn’t love were the empanadas but that’s just me, and it doesn’t take away from how much I adore everything else. Oh and the elote? (a.k.a. Mexican street corn) GET. IT. ON. THE. STICK. I once made a whole trip just for that corn after a rough night of homework, and it turned my whole mood around. Sweet, creamy, spicy, messy but in the best possible way. I WANT IT NOW!! 🤩🥹🥹
Whether you’re picking up after class, heading there with friends, or just want to treat yourself solo, this place is a gem. The food is consistent, the service is warm, and the entire experience feels like home. It’s the kind of place you come to once and then find yourself craving again the next day. Don’t get me started on left overs!!! oh God it’s gone before...
Read moreWe didn’t realize they had this new location until we stumbled upon it the other night- we went in for dinner around 9 pm on thurs and to my surprise they didn’t have many tables besides us and maybe 1-2 others. service overall was decent- our waitress was kind and food came out pretty quickly. queso tasted pretty good i would’ve just preferred it to be warmer- the food was delicious. i got 2 BYO tacos w grilled chicken and the gf got a BYO bowl with chicken and veggies - rice and beans on side. she enjoyed the bowl as well.
Now tonight we were in the mood for some tacos & queso again and to our surprise when we went in they had a DJ and strobe lights- the music was INSANELY loud (keep in mind the restaurant is small to begin with and the music was blaring even just from the outside.) my girlfriend and i are both sensitive to extremely loud noises as well as it would have just been nice to enjoy a dinner without having to yell/deal with the insanity that was going on inside of the small restaurant. i’m not being a “Karen” by any means as this “event” could have been for a good cause, but it’s just something to consider for future business. we decided to head to another rest down the street in hopes of a relaxing dinner and unfortunately didn’t have the best experience there so we opted a second time for togo from Orale - when i went to pick up my togo i could barely communicate with the host/servers in there due to the volume level. i honestly felt bad that they had to work in that. they had one outdoor table available but it was right next to the group of djs that were sitting outdoors & it’s hot lol. food was great as...
Read moreI decided to take my daughter out for taco Tuesday. Upon walking in, all the servers and host was seated. It was dead. We sat at our booth and ordered two lemonades. The lemonade tasted like an old rag was soaking in it. Just a sour taste and it’s Minute Maid lemonade so it shouldn’t taste any different than it would at a store. The server suggested a margarita that was on happy hour. I picked a mango margarita frozen. When i got it, there were clumps of mango with the frozen margarita in the middle. It wouldn’t even mix almost as if the mix itself was old. I asked my server if I could speak to a manager. The young lady who came to the table was serving as well. Not sure if she was the manager or not. I asked for the margarita to be taken off and she said that it was just the mix and only the mango mix did that. I asked her if she had taste the lemonade because something was off with it as well. She took the drinks away and gave me a bottle coke which was much better. The server never came back to check on us. He was too busy at the front with the rest of the employees chit chatting. I was over it so we flagged him down for boxes. The next day, both myself and my daughter have been going back and forth to the restroom. The whole experience was the worst I’ve ever had at Oracle. I remember it being further up the street and the quality of food was better as well as the service. Now it’s in a much bigger, more beautiful spot and the service is whack and the food quality has gone down. It just was very...
