Staff was friendly but rather inattentive and going so fast that each time they came to the table I either couldn't finish what I wanted to say or I had to ask them to wait so I could finish speaking. I ordered an iced tea half cut and ended up with stomach pain and on the toilet four times in the next 2 hours. I don't know if the tea was bad or if they didn't clean their equipment but it was definitely the tea as all I ordered was french fries, tea and a beer and had not had any stomach issues before this and haven't had any since. I noticed the flavor was slightly off but I thought maybe it had just been sitting there for a little while. I shouldn't have drank it. I only drink half. The prices are too high. I'm not spending $20 on a regular hamburger and $18 on a chicken caesar salad. It was so cold in there that I couldn't enjoy myself. It's just too cold. I mean who wants to sit and drink a cold beer when it's hot outside and you're freezing inside? Used my SmartWatch to clock the temperature inside and it was 58° and I was dressed for a hot day. Can't say much about the food because I only ordered the french fries which was a very small basket of over-salted fries for $8. Sorry guys, I know you're a private business, but come on. If you really want people to come back, you might try a little harder. Gave four stars for service because I've been in the service industry for many years and I know how it can be waiting tables. I'm always very friendly to servers and I don't like to complain. I even said, "I'm sorry. I don't want to be difficult, but is there a table in here that won't be so cold?" The server was very friendly. I understand the stress of service industry. When I am serving I always try as hard as I can for every single customer. Apparently the server was outside when my French fries came up as I heard order up and I was the only person in there but because they took so long to come back inside the fries were cold when they got to me. I can't imagine how they could be cold when it...
Read moreFirst time eating here and don’t know that we will be back. My father ordered the fish and chips, my husband and I had a burger. Food came out, my burger was incredibly greasy (grease soaked through the bottom bun) and my fathers fish was so overcooked, he had to send it back. All 3 of us have worked in the restaurant business and absolutely hate sending food back! The service was not what we expected either. We came in last night to get a burger and I’m assuming it was the manager or the owner working and we didn’t know they were closed. The gentleman was so nice and apologetic about the confusion (Google listed the wrong times) and offered us a free beer while they cleaned up. My husband and I shared a beer and thanked them and we both said to each other a few times “we definitely need to come back and check out the food”. However, he was not there today and the service was not what we experienced the night before. We had to ask for silverware, napkins and refills on drinks. Sometimes that happens and we did notice there was a disgruntled customer at the front complaining about a free salad they were supposed to receive and the staff and cook seemed to be flustered about the situation so that could have been why we did not receive the service we experienced the night before. I will say, they did do a great job of social distancing people in a small space and the restaurant has a really great vibe and seemed to have a great selection of craft beers. Just wish the food and service had been better today. We normally don’t leave bad reviews but seeing how different the two experiences were, we felt we needed to share since the staff didn’t seem to be too concerned if we had a great experience or not. I wish them well and hope they can fix whatever kinks they were experiencing today because it really is a neat little place. However when your bill is $59 for 3 burgers and 3 sweet teas, you expect more than what was...
Read moreStaff was rude! Did not acknowledge us when we walked in , as they walked by us twice still didn’t acknowledge us so we seated ourselves at a dirty table, then was told to get up so it could be cleaned, no greeting no apology, just rude, we left! Plus at least a 30 min wait on food Would rather spend our money elsewhere with better service!
Whom ever you are that responded is the liar because as we previously stated - NO-ONE greeted us , acknowledged us or “offered us a seat at bar or height top table”, as you say! Poor customer service when you walk into a place the size of a closet and staff can’t even politely say anything when you walk by us 4 times “hello will be with you shortly or offer to seat us where something is available. As we shared our experience with friends and family we heard lots of similar stories...you’re losing business with the way you treat people that pay your bills and are what keep you in business! Poor customer service for a small place in this town will ultimately cause a business to suffer, but if you had common sense, you would know that! We are from here and have plenty of other wonderful places to eat and friends with businesses and restaurants to support locally, just wanted others to know the poor experience we had here, and as everyone who reads will see how people are treated . To clarify for everyone we left because of how we were treated, had nothing to do with having to wait for food, we have no problem waiting for our food, that is to be expected anywheres during lunch or dinner hours. Sorry if you can’t handle the honesty of your staffs crappy customer service whomever you are replying on here with your LIES about...
