Our dining experience at The Boar's Head in Savannah, GA, was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for an unforgettable evening.

The ambiance of the restaurant is charming and inviting, with rustic decor and cozy seating that exudes a welcoming atmosphere. We immediately felt at ease as we settled in for our meal.

The menu at The Boar's Head is truly impressive, offering a tantalizing array of dishes that showcase the finest in culinary craftsmanship. Each dish we tried was a masterpiece in its own right, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared using only the freshest ingredients.

The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who anticipated our every need and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of perfection. From recommendations on menu selections to prompt and efficient service, every aspect of our meal was flawlessly executed.

As for the drinks, they were equally impressive. The cocktail menu features a variety of inventive concoctions that tantalize the taste buds and perfectly complement the meal. We particularly enjoyed the handcrafted cocktails, which were expertly mixed and served with flair.

One of the highlights of our evening was the dessert selection. Decadent and indulgent, each dessert was a work of art that provided the perfect sweet ending to our meal.

Overall, our dining experience at The Boar's Head surpassed all expectations. From the delectable cuisine to the impeccable service and charming ambiance, every aspect of our visit was truly outstanding. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Savannah, GA, The Boar's Head is a must-visit destination....

We are locals. We did something most locals don’t do. Eat on RiverStreet. We ate there last night.Food excellent and reasonable priced. But a 17.00 martini is a tourist rip off. I can live with a 12/14 martini. They are 4.5 ounces which is normal but 17. I know 14 versus 17 is not a major point but it just felt like a rip off.

We tried reservations for restaurants above riverstreet and all pretty much booked. Board Head was half empty. Maybe a slow weekend for tourist but Pink House Common Repeal Vic’s and others booked. A suggestion lower price on martini and advertise locals get discount. Nothing great. 10%. I know this is part of local restaurant ownership and overall business is good at other restaurants. But Maybe you could offer a little incentive for locals to come down to your restaurant. Why are all the restaurants above river street full and yours is not. Just an FYI, all of us have lived in Savannah over 15 years. My wife grew up here. Only I had ever been to Boards Head. That is not good. Also I am retired and work as a part time concierge at local hotel very close by. I recommend restaurants to at least 5 guest couples a night. I would like to recommend Boars Head because food is good but I truly have a huge problem with such an over priced martini. You have good food, excellent service and reasonable prices. People are funny. Everything about a restaurant can be great but one small thing can amazingly leave a bad taste for the person. I did talk to manager about the martini. Lower the price on martini and offer locals a small discount for a short period to see if it generates more...

Our first dining experience here and it didn't disappoint. Actually this was our first visit to Savannah for a long weekend from closeby SC.

Located at the corner of River St and the Lincoln St Ramp, it is housed in an historic building. Looking to the ceiling one has to wonder of all the history that has passed through this and the building along the entire street. But I digress.

Upon entering we were gracefully greeted and guided to our table passing a bar on the right which was full of patrons. It seemed that they can also accommodate larger parties as we saw a group in a room off to the side. I suggest reservations as we did.

You can see the Savannah River through the windows. While we were there a container vessel passed on its way to far off ports. The kitchen pass is in view and one can hear and see the well oiled team creating culinary works of art.

Our server was wonderful as was the staff that delivered our dinner selections to our table. She welcomed us and was very attentive throughout. We ordered a few drinks to celebrate the evening to start off.

Our dining experience consisted of the She Crab Soup and Mixed Greens Salad to start. This was followed by the Fried Shrimp and Breast of Chicken Picatta with Angel Hair. Presentation was superb.

Dessert was very different yet very delightful. We ordered the Savannah Trifle. The coffee with dessert was fresh and a perfect combination.

It was a very delightful experience. We shall be back during our next visit...

This is by far my new favorite spot!! It was recommended by one of the employees that was a customer of mine at My job so I told her I would try it sometime. My fiance and I did not know that we needed reservations so when we walked in the door, the place was packed. But, Charlene, the employee that recommended it to me, walked by and she got us a table anyway!! All of the wait staff was absolutely wonderful! It was a quiet little table right next to the bar so it was like we were off on our own, we sat right next to a window, very romantic. The red sangria was delicious, we started off with oysters rockafellar and it was delicious, for the main course my fiance ordered to teriyaki steak kabobs with a baked potato, it too was absolutely delicious, BUT.... the absolute star of the evening, the dish that I was told was the best in town, was the shrimp and grits, Charlene was definitely not wrong, they weren't the best in town, they were the best EVER!! After dinner we were full for sure but we couldn't leave without trying one of the in house made deserts they had key lime pie (my Fiancee's favorite) but we decided on the Creme Brulee, it was a perfect final touch to our romantic dinner and we would recommend that everyone try the Boars Head Grill and Tavern at least once.

Based on the reviews I went here. I’m here on business and ate alone. The host was super friendly. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I should have gotten the shrimp and grits as that seemed to be the reason for this place but wanted to try the swordfish special with lemon caper sauce, mashed potatoes and snap peas. It was just ok to me. No at all amazing as some have said. I’ve definitely had better. It cost $30; shrimp and grits was $26 (probably the most expensive shrimp and grits I’ve ever seen but I maybe it’s worth it). I got the spinach salad but had to ask for more blue cheese as there was hardly any in the salad. The salad tasted pretty good though. I got a dirty martini that was on point at $15! It’s on the waterfront. It’s dark inside and a bit dingy but that didn’t bother me so much. Overall it’s an ok place. There are just better places to go. To spend that kind of money the food should be amazing. I may have just gotten the wrong dish. I’d go back to try the shrimp and grits but I won’t be rushing back there.
