There's a distinct sense of charm that hangs in the air as one steps into Cafe M, located in the heart of Savannah, Georgia. Drawing heavily from French inspiration, the quaint and aesthetically appealing venue effortlessly invites you in. From the outside, its captivating facade bears a hint of rustic, old-world allure. As you cross the threshold, the interior reflects a tasteful representation of French elegance, perfectly embodying the sophistication and refinement often associated with France. That being said, as a discerning coffee enthusiast, my critique primarily orbits around the coffee offered at Cafe M. As it turns out, the experience here was subtly underwhelming. The coffee I tasted, although brewed with care, seemed to lack the rich, robust flavors that coffee connoisseurs might anticipate. The flavors were not as deep or multi-dimensional as I would have hoped, leaving my taste buds craving more depth and complexity. In conclusion, while Cafe M scores high on ambiance and its delightful nod to French charm, the coffee experience didn't meet the mark of what my palate has grown to expect from a high-end café. The narrative of their coffee needs more layers to fully satisfy the expectations of a discerning coffee lover. Nonetheless, for those who appreciate well-curated interiors and an enchanting atmosphere, Cafe M in Savannah, Georgia, may just be the right fit.

I won't be coming back. I was fine with the wait because I'd read great reviews about the food! Then the girl who took our order was just completely disinterested in her job, as well as were all the other workers. A table near us left and I watched the person I presume is the owner move the table back to where it was and then they didn't bother to wipe it down in between customers. After that, my sandwich ($13) was supposed to have pear, brie, and ham. It came with exactly one thin slice of pear on it (pictured). Then, they forgot to bring out my husband's order with the rest of our food and we had to ask them about it. They forgot to make it. After that, I took a sip of my Rose Vanilla Latte and honestly wished I'd dumped it out. As a barista, I'm not sure what they're serving, but I don't think it should be called coffee. Definitely check out some other brunch places instead!

First I’d like to say the initial experience was not good. The three of us were not greeted by anyone and the staff were unfriendly! The young lady who served us our food was the only nice person who worked there, and she served with a smile and greeting! The other employees were sitting down behind the counter and would ‘pop up’ when someone walked in. THEN when we were leaving there was a woman (possible manager) ‘writing up’ THE ONLY GOOD EMPLOYEE WE WITNESSED! Ugh! Manager: DO BETTER! She’s a gem!

UPDATE: I see your response but unable to reply - so here it goes. If you have something to discuss with an employee you should not be doing it in front of your resturant as my entire group saw that as a reprimand especially when you are reviewing a paper at your small table outside. Regardless of what you were doing we all overheard you say "And you'll need to sign here regarding what we discussed" That sounds like she was just "written up" If she was not being written up and being praised 'THAT WOULD SEEM MORE APPROPRIATE BASED ON OUR EXPERIENCE" Either way, it appeared to be negative in context. Whatever you were doing, please do this behind closed doors so your patrons do not get the wrong impression. As for the employees inside sitting down behind your counter, they need to be written up. (no greeting, no smile, all on their phones) I asked for water with my order and she pointed at the little water cups said I could get my own (which is fine). Another person in my party came to the table with a bottle of water. Why was I not offered to purchase a bottle? Just a really weird experience...

I’ve been in a love and hate relationship with this place for a long time. For just the past 3 years alone, I’ve been really trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt, only because they really do have the potential to be magnificent. I visit here for breakfast daily, every time I’m in Savannah, which is 1-2 times a year for a about a week at a time. There is no consistency with anything. Either everything is great, including the staff, or it’s a horrible waste of time and money. This past experience was the last time I’ll spend my time or my money here. My husband and I ordered in the restaurant while asking to dine in. They gave us our food at our table packed up to go… why? because the counter girl was not listening to us at all while trying to rush us along while we tried to order. The coffee for starters tasted burnt and reheated. The fruit bowl I ordered (containing just strawberries, grapes and blueberries) was the most disgusting excuse for fruit ever. Everything was complete mush, shriveled up and well past being good. It looked like it was forgotten about for some time and found in the back of a fridge. My husband’s egg sandwich on a croissant was mediocre at best. It was maybe room temperature with the cheese not even melted. This experience however, was the best thing to happen to us, because it allowed for us to discover so many other wonderful breakfast places throughout the city. All with consistent service and super yummy eats. If you’re traveling to Savannah, save yourself the frustration and risk of catching this place on an off day and go...

Equisitely deliteful. Healthy breakfast choice. Both of us had smoked salmon, yogurt parfait, tsaziki sauce, cucumber, and a baguette. Smoked salmon good, swiped in the tsaziki sauce, followed by the crunch of a thinly/diagonally sliced cucumber was so refreshing... but it is that baguette that balances it off. The baguette reminded me of early years baking french bread and the perfect salty flavor, but it isn't "salty". Perfect crunch at the right depth. We both started to make a sandwich of the melody, but the bread was so fresh and hot it wouldn't have worked,... for the right reasons. The yogurt parfait was absolutely perfect. Honestly, we will probably just have this tomorrow morning in preparation for a crabfest for tomorrow evening. Bottomless mimosas option? Yes, do it. Aside from a good breakfast cocktail, that acid really balances the fats from the salmon and other items. Yeah... it's the healthy breakfast optio, but healthydoesn't have to be bland or suck. This, in fact, was a heavenly combination. Service?.. yeah, awesome folks. When you are walking out the door and one of the staff scurries after you reminding you that a "Togossa" is included with the bottomless mimosas... yes, a to go mimosa. You know when you just visited a place where someone had a dream... and the skill... and found the location and staff to make it happen. High rankings among my...
