Emporium is easily one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever dinned at. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was very modern but kept a cozy and relaxed feeling. I had gone to Emporium to celebrate my mother's birthday. We came for dinner and were seated right at 7:45, the time of our reservation. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful.

We ordered the fougasse bread for the table. It was a very good loaf but on the smaller side. The butter was delicious though. I was a little surprised that bread was considered an appetizer at a restaurant like this. For my entree, I ordered the steak frites. Unfortunately, an hour later they came. While some portions of this steak were cooked to a very nice medium, other portions varied between well and medium well. What threw me off most was that my steak was served slightly over cooked yet cold. It was as if it sat underneath a heat lamp, forgotten about. Another person in my party complained of a similar issue regarding their fish. Clearly overcooked yet served cold. Maybe our ticket was forgotten about and left under a heat lamp. We will never know. As for the presentation of my dish. The steak was nicely cut and placed next to a bed of french fries. The steak frites were served without sauce, which again surprised me. To compensate for this lack of sauce, a circular disk of butter was placed on top. It was very good butter with some spices mixed in, but it looked like someone had put a bar of soap on top of my lukewarm steak. As for the flavors. They were lacking. A sauce of some sort would have done wonders. The flat iron steak is nothing to write home about, but for the price paid, I had hoped for a little more than a dry leathery piece of meat. The butter soap bar saved this dish and made it just good enough to eat. The fries were excellent though and so were the side potatoes and green beans. Out of curiosity, I tasted the mahi fish dish and chicken dish other members of my party had ordered. The chicken was was "just okay". It was kind of bland. The chicken was also on the colder side upon being served. As for the mahi, easily one of the tastiest types of fish. Bland. The mahi was bland and overcooked.

Overall I am disappointed with my experience here. I want to love this place. It is such a beautiful restaurant. Unfortunately my experience here will only lead me away from this establishment as the relationship between quality and price is...

Be warned. The great remarks on here are written by those who don’t know what good food is and by those who were too drunk to taste how bland the food is. Save your time and your money. You are better off giving your business to Zunzies, which is conveniently next door to this place. (Order the GodFather Sandwich and thank me later)

To start. I ordered the onion soup. I wish I were exaggerating when I say It was more cheese than soup. I’d say it was closer to a macaroni and cheese than it was a soup. The scallop appetizer was undercooked. My mom and I shared the mushroom pasta. The noodles were also undercooked. We ordered dessert hoping this would be a different experience. Just like the google reviews, the menu descriptions are misleading. We got the Bombe Alaska and Paris Brest. The Bombe Alaska is bizarre. What is described on their menu is better in theory than it is in execution. They pour alcohol over the merengue and light it on fire to “bake” it. It’s cool to watch but sadly my dessert was overpowered by the taste of alcohol. The Paris Brest is described as a “blackberry mousse, coconut tuile, chai crumb, berry medley.” What was plated was an oat bagel with blackberry jam and a pink colored powder. No mousse. I nearly sent it back thinking we received the wrong dessert. Nothing on that plate was as described. Im still perplexed. In fact, I regret not taking pictures of our food. That alone would suffice as proof of how lackluster this food, that is evidently prepared by chefs, is. Overall, the experience was underwhelming.

My final note. I have nothing ill to say about our waitress. She did her job. It’s a beautiful and atmospheric restaurant. Get drunk and you’ll enjoy it like the rest of these reviews. I do, however, advise the owner of this establishment to consider making some changes. Either serve the fine dining food prepared by the chefs you advertise or reword your menu to...

This is the 2nd time we’ve eaten at the Emporium. The 1st time was a couple weeks ago and we tried the Shrimp and Grits as well as the Pimento Cheese Omelette. The Shrimp and Grits had great flavor with the tomatoes and andouille sausage and the Pimento Cheese Omelette was super cheesy and had wonderful flavor with the Pimento cheese mixture they used. This 2nd time around we had 4 of us. My mother-in-law had the biscuits and gravy. I am super picky with my sausage-gravy and I have to say it was some of the best I ever had. It’s not your typical white sausage gravy but it is super delicious and the biscuits were homemade and thick. My son had the seasonal pancakes which was chocolate chip pecan pancakes and they too were really good. I had the Pain Perdu which is French toast with cream and peaches. I really enjoyed the flavor of the peaches and cream with the maple syrup. Last my husband loved the Pimento Cheese omelette so much the 1st time that he wanted to try it again. I am not sure if the chef was different the 1st time but this time around the Pimento Cheese wasn’t even cheese it was a Buffalo sauce with bits of cheese in it. Not sure what happened because seriously it was so good the first time. I even asked the waiter if they change the recipe of the Pimento cheese on a regular basis and he said no they didn’t but they do make it homemade, but he mentioned that someone else asked the same question the day before. Unfortunately, the omelette was disappointing the 2nd time and the waiter was nice enough to take it off the bill. So, regardless of the fail on the omelette my family and I will definitely be returning. I just hope the chef goes back to the recipe they used a...

Went to this restaurant for my birthday dinner (just 2 people) . We went 2 hours before closing and the servers were already closing down the restaurant and seemed annoyed that we were dining in. The food was genuinely abhorrent. Nothing tasted good. We ordered drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts and we dreaded each course being brought out to us. We ended up leaving after paying $200 for a meal that we hated and going to mcdonalds. My birthday wasn’t acknowledged at all, even though my friend put it in the reservation, which we know they wouldnt sing or anything at a fine dining, but it was not even acknowledged when checking in. We got espresso martinis, which tasted like the liquid they pour out from the drink catching mats and a shot of coffee, the bread and garlic appetizer, which was hard as a rock and cold. We ordered the mushroom pasta with chicken, the sauce was super grainy but the chicken was good and I believe the other dish was pork belly and beans. The beans were just bean soup from a can, it was a horrible dish creation. The pork was decent, but the beans truly dug its grave. They were out of all desserts because the kitchen had shut down, so they just scooped a small scoop of gelato on a plate and threw a peach on it. (which was charged individually for me). The restaurant can get very loud, but the tables are so close together that there is no individual privacy. You can almost touch legs with the table next to you. I genuinely tell everyone i meet to not eat here. It is not worth it in any shape or form.

Went here Saturday evening. It was a bit busy/noisy due to a wedding party waiting for the reception. Sat at the end of the bar and was greeted pretty quickly. Was able to get there for happy hour. Ordered 2 cocktails (old fashioned) which were spectacular and was able to get them quickly despite it being busy. While sitting the glass rinser broke and spilled over the counter more to the area I was sitting. The staff and other customers were helpful in cleaning up the mess & was just able to laugh about it afterwards. It was repaired while there and all was well & very apologetic which again is no fault of their own. Food. Ordered a cheese board during happy hour which was huge! You get 3 different cheeses, large amount of grapes, jam, mustard, walnuts, crackers, and cornichons. They were really good. (Pic was after half was eaten) lol. This is a great option for sharing with others or just snacking on over time. Went during burger bash which they have a fantastic special. As a burger lover it's hard tk find a good tasting burger. The burger (El jefe) was immaculate! It was juicy cooked to the perfect temp, the taste of the aioli, mushrooms & arugula went sooo well together. The surprise was a delicious crispy cheese disk which added another depth and texture. Only negative the bun was a bit hard. The fries were crispy and salted perfectly. Overall experience even with the mishap was 10/10! Jeff & Bryan were great and super attentive and funny. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Hands down, one of Savannah’s BEST restaurants. Chef Aidan Kinney and team are magicians with the food. Their attention to detail is exactly what you would expect and hope for. The Chef checked on our table several times throughout the night. Not only ensuring our satisfaction with the food, but also giving his personal recommendations for plates to come. I highly recommend the short rib or the lamb, both are difficult to cook correctly but Chef Aidan and team nailed it. The seasoning and tenderness on the cooks were divine. The scallops, charcuterie board or brussel sprouts are great starters, you can’t go wrong. For dessert, we had all 5 of them on the menu. Our pick is the fig & honey or the Paris Brest. The Emporium’s cocktails are delicious and the pours are generous. The atmosphere is nice, clean and easy to navigate. The support staff (hostess and waitress) were very attentive and made sure our overall experience was excellent what we were looking for. Simply put, if you are a local or just passing through town on vacation, make sure you stop and see Chef Aidan at Emporium Kitchen & Wine Market. 100% worth the price of admission..!
