Totally Awesome Bar — Restaurant in Savannah

The mixed drinks are great which makes me wanna like this place, but just about everything else left a bad taste in my mouth.

The bar ended up closing early for no apparent reason. Google says 3AM, the website says 3AM, even the sign right at the entrance said 3AM. They did last call at 1:50 and ushered us out of the building at about 2:10. They weren't playing games either, it was very urgent.

The bartender also misheard me during last call and put 2 beers down instead of one, and while I take partial blame for not clarifying more in such a busy setting I am certain I didn't ask for two. The part that truly frustrated me was not that, but the fact that my bill was 33 dollars for a 6 dollar mixed drink and two beers. So unless the beers are 13 and a half dollars each the math was not mathing.

Anyway just make sure you double check the tab and make sure to be ready to leave an hour early if...

I’ve been going to TAB for a bit, but had my worst experience ever tonight. I ordered a drink but it was so crowded I couldn’t find anywhere to sit. People kept pushing me, and each time I tried to get back to the bar I kept getting cut in line. After an hour and a half of milling about I was able to take a seat at the bar. I had another drink, but shortly after I got it, someone screamed into the microphone at karaoke, which triggered my PTSD and really shook me up. I immediately yelled in reaction before crying as I could hardly control myself. Then this man next to me starts harassing me, asking me why I was crying, and kept talking to me even after I told him to leave me alone. But then, the bartender has to come up to me and threaten to kick me out if I keep crying. So yeah, terrible night. I won’t be coming back...

Okay, my boyfriend and I went there and got two drinks each. 9.00 drinks 36.00 tipped the guy 5.00 and spent 10.00 in the game machines(of which there are 4) then we left and came back 2 hours later and ordered a drink. When I ordered the drinks he started beratting me about how "we only tipped him 5.00" and so I tipped him 13. I explained to him I worked at a bar in Statesboro and they tipped me on top of 7.25 an hour so I didnt know he made 2.25 an hour plus tips He was still rude after that. This place is unprofessional and super lame. For games, Chromatic Dragon is WAAAY BETTER. The owner of Totally awesome said "he hasn't been bartending long." I don't think that's a good explanation for such a terrible attitude. He could have been much more polite about it. I will never go...
