Let me just start off with this. The environment is great. Definitely gives off saloon style vibes. The waitress was very nice, but she’s definitely overworked. No reason why she should be the sole waitress for the entire restaurant- the bartender did what she could but still. There should definitely be at least 1-2 more waitresses for this establishment.
Now to the food, we ordered our appetizer to see if we would like to eat our lunch here after driving all day. So we got the “Best of Belle’s” which we got fairly quick. For the price amount of $18 you will receive about 7 pickle chips, 3 devil’s on horseback, and 2 Nashville Hot chicken fingers. In my opinion, this is definitely not worth this price, definitely should be dropped down to around $12.
My biggest complaint and biggest disappointment came from the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Our meal took about 30-35 minutes to come out. The chicken blatantly has no real flavor and was served cold. Thankfully I had a extra side of sauce which definitely helped. The bun I had was very crunchy and cold even after being toasted. My favorite part of this was the coleslaw, but could definitely be perked up with some salt and pepper, don’t be afraid to season your foods. Lastly, my French fries were very cold. No real flavor in these either except for the taste of grease. The oil here definitely needs to be changed out more often.
For just lunch, the total came just shy of $52. Again, my opinion but lunch should never reach this price. Especially since we didn’t have any drinks. This restaurant is definitely over priced and not worth the price...
Read moreAs a black man from NYC, I never thought I’d find myself in a Country bar with the words Honky Tonk plastered onto the wall, but I’m so glad I did!
My partner and I were visiting the west coast on a sightseeing trip and found ourselves in Scottsdale after escaping the boring, barren, and un-walkable city that is Phoenix. Scottsdale was the opposite and offered galleries, different cuisines, and activities all in a 5-6 block radius.
After trying the great Mexican food in the area, we decided to try something else that’s not easy to get in NYC. That’s when we found Belle’s! Their menu had a ton of Southern staples like Kool-Aid Pickles (which were fried and delicious) and a few variants of Nashville Hot Chicken. They offer 3 different heat levels and like any person practicing self-care, we chose the medium heat level.
To our surprise, the medium was not that spicy, but delicious and something I’d definitely come back to try to see how far down the rabbit hole we can go.
The service was also great and my beer glass was never empty. Not to mention, their happy hour is amazing ($3 off apps and $1 off already cheap drinks) and is everyday.
We were there earlier in the day, but I couldn’t help notice that they have live music every single night! I wish we had more time to spend in Old Town Scottsdale.
If I ever find myself back in this beautiful part of the Valley, I’ll be sure to head back to Belle’s...
Read moreHad plans to come here for two weeks with friends. Sadly, Horrible service. And treated like we weren’t worth the time of day by the bartender. Showed up with a party of four to have dinner. Was told it would be a ten minute wait and that there were “no tables available”. But there were open seats at the bar and were “more than welcome to wait there for our table” after waiting twenty minutes at the bar, and having not one employee ask us if we would like anything. The entire time there was three opens tables. Were told that a “podcast party” consisting of ten people had reserved five tables of four and half of the barstools. All ten of them were standing in the back and even told us we could have the chairs at the bar and their table if we would like. The bartender finally came up to us, to get our drink order right? Nope, to kick us out of the open chairs and say “those are reserved, you can wait for your table at the front door” told them we were given those seats by the party. They didn’t care and kicked us out of our chairs for them to remain empty. They would rather have their reserved seats empty and have myself, my pregnant wife, and our two friends stand by the door, then treat their customers well and give up unused reserved seats. Food looked and smelled awesome. The bartender, couldn’t have been more rude. Looked like a great place, ruined by rude staff. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Treated...
