On Saturday, November 9th, at approximately 10:00PM, a group of 6 of us showed up for a fun last minute dinner. Upon walking in the restaurant, there were 4 hostesses at the front. They explained that there would be a wait of 30 minutes to seat us as there were a few large tables that just left and they needed to be cleaned. I thought it was odd that the wait was so long as the place wasn't packed and there were no other parties waiting. While I started to walk away, one of them said I was RUDE for asking why there would be such a long wait. Mind you no one offered us to wait at the bar, so we went outside. They continued to laugh and talk about us and stand there doing nothing. The 4 of them were not being productive and were gossiping while watching one of them wipe menus down. After waiting for 15 minutes and watching them not be proactive, we decided that we could assist in cleaning the patio table since we really wanted to eat at this restaurant. As soon as we started doing this, one of the four ladies came out and said, "We can do that.” Then we said, "Well you are all just standing there not doing anything, so we decided if you are too busy to seat some customers, that we should help you.” At this point, most of them had disappeared to the back. We then decided that this was no longer going to be enjoyable with all of them having attitudes and glaring at us. When one of the hostesses returned, a party of 4 was walking in and asked for a table on the patio. I told her she could give them the table we just cleaned as we were no longer interested in giving any kind of business to this establishment. I also asked her to get the manager so that I could inform him of what was going on. When the manager, Robert, came out, he was oblivious that there were four hostesses doing nothing up front. He was also displeased that I bothered him. As I walked away, he said "You couldn't just Yelp that!” I can tell you that we went down the street to Kona Grill, where not only the food was amazing, but the customer service from beginning to end was absolutely fantastic! I have never been made to feel so terrible at a restaurant and WOULD NOT...
Read moreThere was a peice of hair in my food . I wasn’t rude but I did bring this to my waitress attention . They took 10$ of the bill . If I was the management I would have taken that plate off the bill .
Waitress was nice but not attentive enough .
My lobster tail was not a traditional lobster tail you’d expect. Instead I received an old dry crustacean shell with little pieces of lobster cut up and thrown back in there . Who asked them to cut my lobster and take it out the shell. I wanted it served in the tail as displayed in their menu picture. The portion of meat looked like they cut the tail down the middle and gave me only half of the meat and threw it back in the lobster shell . I wonder who got the other half of my lobster meat they didn’t get the shell I know for sure just the meat .
Lastly when we walked in they said all the drinks are half price Mondays . She didn’t say some she said ALL. When the waitress came over she repeated the special the host had informed us of and I asked her what does she suggest . I ordered two of the drinks suggested and they were good but left a bad taste in my mouth when I got my bill . The drinks were not discounted . I asked my waitress about this , you know the one that told me the half off special and suggested the drink. She says oh those aren’t included in the special. For crying out loud why in the world would yu tell me about a special offer then suggest something not included . Didn’t think to ask was this drink included bcuz I was already told twice ALL drinks are half off.
I have visited this restuturant in different states and have had similar experiences.
Fried icecream was good but I’d rather eat a pop tart before I get anything from them agian .
I would not suggest this place . Kasai steakhouse 0.03 miles up the road is way better all around and guess what the serve my lobster 🦞...
Read moreAbraham was our waiter and he was so personable, attentive, and made sure everything in our order was perfect. Easily one of the best waiters I’ve had in months. Drew, the bartender, also helped us out, chatted a bit, and was generous with his time despite not being assigned to our table. He recommended the Cinnamon Tempura Ice Cream ($11.50 but HUGE and worth it), which was INCREDIBLE, and definitely a must-try. This is the type of dessert you wont find anywhere else. Aside from that, everything we ordered was off the happy hour menu, and the prices were SO good. For the appetizer, we got the “RA” Chips and Salsa ($3 during happy hour), and WOW - no words! I asked Abraham his thoughts before we ordered it, and he was absolutely correct that it was delicious. It was a medium-heat mango salsa with avocado and the chips were crunchy (but not weak/breakable) and super flavorful. For the entree, I got the Viva Las Vegas Roll ($12 happy hour), which is like an upgraded version of the vegas roll we all know and love, but I was actually floored by how delicious it was (I think I’m gonna dream about it later). My boyfriend ordered the Spicy Crispy Rice ($9 happy hour), and he loved it. I tried some as well, and I would say its not very spicy but the texture and ratio of the rice and fish was great. We shared the Spicy Tuna Roll ($6 happy hour), and that was definitely noticeably spicier than the crispy rice. A classic, simple roll, but it was done very well. I’ll also note that the presentation of the food was so beautiful as well, especially the chips & salsa, vegas roll, and dessert. We will most certainly be returning - new favorite...
