Maybe if you live here, this is the only show in town unfortunately but I can see why Cake on the same street is more popular. If it weren’t for special circumstances out of town celebrating someone else, most people with discerning tastes would probably never come here. “Clever small bites” in description is laughable. Nothing clever about this place by design. I’d never consider consuming anything here (edit: clarifying I wouldn’t consume anything here because the place is dirty, who would have an appetite, even if you were plastered? It looks clean online but irl is in shambles/gross, even in dim, colored lighting it’s filthy, cannot imagine full lighting.) There’s a club next to it that’s probably owned by the same folks because they have the same lame ahh looking screen saver and both have the same sounding “DJs” spinning the same sad stuff but most importantly have the trademark of being completely unable to understand how transitioning between songs works. It’s hilarious. I don’t blame people for mostly standing around and hardly dancing (if anyone is dancing it’s just because they’re out and need to move, as that’s why they went out so if I were a DJ here I wouldn’t flatter myself too much to see people who naturally try to make the best out of a terrible situation to manage to still try to have fun.) It’s pointless to even section off a “dance floor” since it’s all just standing area. This place does the least by design that the idea and description of their “vip” is as sad as it is laughable (“to make you feel like a celebrity” from their site lmaoooooo by “celebrity” I think they mean “fool” what a sad small pond). “vip” here makes little to no sense on every level, it’s not much of a section or venue and doesn’t even make up for it in their sonic or libation selections/style. Their bars don’t even offer decent premium selections. Makes sense most of the events are for things like sports (March Madness) because not much else is going on worth “celebrating” that you gotta make events up to seem like it is. It is literally just a dingy sports bar that simply wants to think it’s “high end”…the fact that anyone even refers to it as “high end” is pure tragicomedy. Edit: as to the crowd, it’s 75/25, 75 chill and 25 lame/high strung weirdos with nothing better to do but wanting to feel “special” so badly as if it matters in such a place...
Read moreIf I can give a zero I would. I was hanging out these gentlemen for their bachelor party and went to the restroom. The lady in there was nice and I wanted to tip her.so I went through my purse to find the change and had a lot of old receipt I I just thought I’ll clean it out because there was a trash can in front of me. Then this security guy tall light brownish hair with green blue eyes start dragging me out of there. At first I was confused and thought my friend wanted me and he was helping me get back to them but he drag me and man handle me. I was on heel and fell on the concrete floor and scrape my toe badly. They didn’t even tell me why I was getting kicked out because I was not drunk not making a scene not being violent. Then I try to talk to my friend and let them know I’m getting kicked out and was trying to talk to them. I cut thru people in line letting them know I was just trying to talk to my friend and they let me through nicely. Then this black big security guy picked me up and drag me out as if I was doing something bad. And he was holding me by my wrist. We went back and forth and I just wanted him to let my wrist go. Like why were they so aggressive with me when I didn’t do anything that needed to be restrained for. This is frustrating and humiliating. And because I hurt my toe badly I couldn’t even perform my work properly which requires a lot of walking. I’m so mad and disgusted by their treatment of a women. I’m 5’2 and weight 120. There is no reason for them to be so aggressive and violent with me when I did not do anything that indicate me being hard to handle. They could’ve talk to me respectfully. The injury is deeper...
Read moreVery poor management!!! As a business owner myself we have a responsibility to protect our customer and general public. I attended a bachelorette party with my girlfriend who had a section with her girls who kept getting bothered, approached and touched by the table next to them. My girlfriend and I ended up going to cake for a better crowd. Not long after we ended up getting a call from the remaining bachelorette party that one girl was on the ground bloody and the other was on the way to jail. What happened was once we left (and I being the only male) went to Cake the table of guys next to them moved in. We witnessed it while we were there but several times I kept them at bay. Once we left they again made contact with the girls and one girl defended the rest after he touched her and swung on the guy. Security ended up stopping the girl, blooding her face and told the police they (security) got assaulted. Never once did they mention the negligence of protecting their patrons. An innocent girl went to jail tonight. I spoke with police for over 30 minutes to even get a case number and they argued with me about the definition of assault which is the unwanted physical contact to another person. Non negotiable!! They refused to give any additional information or find the guys who assaulted the women to start the entire thing. If you’re a women and celebrating anything at all, DO NOT GO HERE!!! Case information is displayed below. Pretty women need protection while out and this club provides ZERO! Find...
