The guys cooking seem cool, but the girls that take your order are not very friendly. Some are def worse than others. I’ve been to this place a few times and even recommended it to others because I liked their food and I wanted to support a place that sold something other than the usual boardwalk fare. The blank stares didn’t really stop me from going there until I had to ask them for something (to split my order of tacos into two separate boxes because it was for two people). The girl who was helping me asked the brunette behind the counter if that was possible. The brunette became visibly annoyed and then said “what? It comes out how it comes out” Very loud so I can hear, but not directly addressing me. It kinda caught me off guard… Like dang girl, is my question that offensive to you? Anyway I brushed it off. Shortly after that an older lady came in with some questions and she clocked that girl’s attitude fast. The older woman then proceeded to cuss the girl out and stormed off. The girl was pretty upset after because… she thought it was wrong for an older woman to cuss out someone that was younger? Idk… she told her coworker something to that effect. Listen, I don’t condone the older woman’s behavior at all, but if you’re going to be rude to customers what kind of outcome are you expecting here? Everyone has bad days, but that’s life. Don’t bring that energy to your workplace and don’t be rude customers that want to give their business to the establishment you work at. If ur struggling mentally, maybe you should figure that out. Anyways, younger or older you don’t get a pass for acting...
Read moreSaw Beach Tacos the other day and I was interested in it since Surf Taco isn't an adequate contribution of Mexican food to Seaside. My family ordered it today. The elotes and the fish taco were good. Elotes more so, but those are easier to get right. The steak taco was fine. The meat wasn't great. The chicken taco was not good. The chicken was the worst of the meats, the pork al pastor was also better than the chicken. The tortillas for all the tacos were decent, but typically I like in-house corn tortillas more. I ordered a tostada and it had cheddar (or American, some kind of orange) cheese on it, which is inappropriate. My sister ordered a veggie taco and instead of coming with beans and a vegetable like peppers as one would expect, it had mushrooms and cauliflower on it. She didn't like it. This is less important but the guacamole and all the salsas were watered down to the point of...
Read moreThe online menu is a scam. They list the price of quesadillas as all being 3-5 dollars, but when we ordered the price of quesadillas were 13 dollars at the cheapest. Nowhere on the online menu did it mention an up charge for a quesadilla. When we called to mention the discrepancy, the employee told us that the base price of the quesadilla was 8.90, and the 3-5 on the menu was the up charge based on the type of protein that you want. But nowhere on the menu was this base price mentioned. It listed the quesadilla as less than 5 dollars, and to triple the price without mentioning it to the customer is extremely misleading. Businesses should be transparent about their prices, and especially during these trying times. The food was good but not worth the...
