First off I want to say the lady that served and greeted us was by far the best part, hands down. Always smiling and kind. Now on to the heart of the matter. Coffee was extremely weak and almost watered down. The bacon that my gf and I both received looked like the kind you can buy precooked at grocery stores. It was uniformly exactly the same, had zero grease (which I know is a good thing) which would make you assume cooked and a reasonably warm to hot temperature but had neither. On top of which, the first piece had a tiny white fiber on the tip and the second had around a 3 inch hair stuck to it that couldn't have been the cook's as he was a younger black haired gentleman. The syrup which I was served, was in a container that clearly the contents were really heated (that i really liked) but it was like the coffee, watered down and not much taste. My gf ordered scrambled eggs. And for the first time in my life I have seen scrambled eggs that didn't look like scrambled. They were cut in ribbons like they were made from the instant kind and poured on the flat iron and cooked and cut from that point. On top of that, she could not finish them as they were rubbery and tasteless. The pancakes I ordered had a somewhat sour taste to them but a least I had a fairly large dollop of butter in which to spread on them. The price I paid for my pancake combo was around 12.00 and although I didn't have to cook it, don't think I got my money's worth as the food didn't get close to what I felt should be charged that amount. The restaurant itself could definitely use an update as the interior to exterior was showing its age from the torn upholstery to broken down planter boxes. I do not take pleasure in leaving such a harsh review but feel that there were too many...
Read moreMy buddy and I came here in hopes to get a good steak and seafood dinner. It had a 4star review so I was confident that it would be satisfactory. The diner itself had that old Denny's vibe with a bar counter top and an attached bar with video lotto. Booths were as ancient as the customers. Aside from badly needing renovations, the menu looked promising. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner available all day. Appears to be a decent selection of things, although what drew me there was the advertisement on the building for steaks and seafood. So I order the prime rib, my buddy orders the ribeye. Ordered both medium rare. We get our food after a decent amount of time. I pretty much laugh at my buddys steak- looked like a kids plate. Thin and overcooked meat unseasoned. Prime rib was well-done and the aujus that came with it was like water with soy sauce. Nope. Extremely disappointed. Food was flavorless and overpriced. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the service was good. Keep walking- there are plenty of decent restaurants in the area. If it wasn't for the senors that keep the place open I don't understand how they stay in buisness with such terrible overpriced food....
Read moreService was super friendly. She mentioned she is always the only employee. She did everything from greeting us, seating us, taking our order, then cashing us out at the end. It wasn't that busy but she barely came around to check on us. We never got to request refills til we were done eating. As for the food my chicken breast dish had no flavor, I only took one bite and left the rest. It was supposed to come with garlic toast but they gave me a dinner roll with 🧈 butter. My husband ordered a double bacon 🥓 🍔 cheeseburger and they left out one patty. We let them know and they told us it would be 7mins for another patty to get made. They weren't going to remake the whole burger so we said just forget it. They still charged us for it. They brought us an extra drink and charged us for that too. I would never go back here and would not recommend it, but kudos to that cashiee/waitresses for taking...
