Me and my partner are visiting from Portland and stopped here randomly last night, it was awesome! The guy that took our order was genuinely friendly and helpful, i wish i got his name. I ordered the cheese enchiladas plate. The guy explained these are "Real Mexican enchiladas" and that it was a big plate. I ate everything on that plate! (Minus the chicken because i don't eat chicken, but my guy enjoyed it lol) I grew up eating lots of Mexican food (my grandmother was first generation Mexican American) and my partner grew up in Florida eating lots of south American food, he ordered the asada tacos and asada fries and loved them. I tasted a little of my partners food, the pico was so good on the fries. The fries themselves were well seasoned. There were a few too many pickled jalapeños but not a problem, he seemed to love everything.
Here are a few important details to note:
The enchiladas are NOT wet, they are not soaking in sauce like you may be used to. The incredible tortillas are so flavor packed by the method of cooking. It comes with a side of the most delicious cooked carrots and potatos (seriously i want to order more of those vegetables), and a chicken leg. Honestly it felt like my childhood, just a damn good wholesome meal. The lettuce was fresh, the cheese was delicious and authentic, and the tortillas themselves were so good. Make sure you put your fav salsa and maybe some fresh lime on top and dig in.
The service is fast, the drive through option was cool just remember this isn't as fast as fast food. The staff were really kind and helpful.
Ask for extra salsa and lime ;)
I will definitely go back because as far as quick mexican food goes this was delicious. The prices were really low too, it's a...
Read moreOrdered Tamales, chili reilano, and meat a la carte for the pup. Told to wait in parking lot of gas station. Tamales were skinny, bland, and served without a corn husk. no seasoning used in the masa. Only chicken, and a sauce drizzled on top, no vegetables added. Pathetic. My pup, a hungry pit bull, received what you see in the photo for $7 (carne asada a la carte). (And I left a 25% tip before receiving my food, so, figure that in however you want) Im speculating the cook learned his trade at a convalescent hospital, or old folks home, because the food is on par to what I remember when I was employed to wash...
