Enthusiasm Left the Building

I used to live in the area and remember when this coffee shop was actually a great place to grab a cup and enjoy the atmosphere. Sadly, those days are long gone. My recent visit was nothing short of disappointing.

The main culprit? The barista with the unfortunate orange-dyed hair, who seemed completely uninterested in being there. No smile, no eye contact, no basic customer service. The pace was painfully slow, and the energy in the place was just as lifeless. It took forever to get my order, and when I finally did, it was handed to me with all the enthusiasm of a robot on low battery.

And the coffee? Absolutely terrible. Weak, watery, and completely tasteless like someone had waved a coffee bean over hot water and called it a day. When the service is bad and the coffee is even worse, there is really no reason to come back. Such a shame to see a once-great spot...

Just wanted a bagel with cream cheese. Didn’t think it would take long. I waited and saw a bagel that I ordered in the toaster go through it twice and get burned. So I pointed it out. The cashier sassed that “oh she would throw it away” but I was wondering why burn the bagels like that to begin with. Pink hair dye person tossed them and didn’t put any bagels in the toaster as replacement. Then told me to take a seat. It’s been 15 mins and I was like oh I can’t wait anymore because I have things to do and didn’t expect it to be this long despite. Instead of just letting me know what’s the queue is like the person just yelled at me that “there’s people before you, you know.” And I was like that’s fine but how long and if so why did you throw the bagel and didn’t put a new one then? Cherry Street Coffee has been my go-to for a Quad Latte for the last year.. The coffee is hot, strong and just what I need in the morning. The staff welcomes me with all smiles everytime I show up..

This is my very first visit to the Belltown location and I have to say this is my favorite of the three locations I have been. Spacious area to enjoy your drinks and snacks. plenty of room for everyone. With decorations around the room you can tell someone actually put some thought into making this a enjoyable and welcoming experience..

The coffee cake I ordered which has cream and walnuts in it was so delicious I went back for a second round .The ladies in the back doing all the work are all smiles which helps remind me on my only day off to remain grateful for the brilliant location and great experience..
