The coffee roaster-esque interior and fancy tea brewing machines drew me in and has been the center of social media hype. The drinks are pretty good overall but I do wish it had more tea flavor. The COMEBUYTEA milk tea is their most popular drink on the menu and it was good and very milky.
Food I got the COMEBUYTEA milk tea and overall it was good. The first thing that stood out to me was how milky it was so I do wish there was more tea flavor. Especially since they have these fancy tea brewing methods and display of dried tea. The boba was atrocious though. I had a mix of super soft, chewy, sweet boba balls, and hard and difficult to chew boba balls. And I am referring to just the black tapioca bubbles. Usually the batch is made so that all the bubbles are soft and chewy, or all hard and not good. The konjac jelly was fine and had a good pop to it.
Atmosphere I went on Thursday 3/28/24 night and it was very crowded and busy. The space itself is not that big and there is very limited seating for maybe 15-20 people. It was loud because of all the people there but also all the steam. Not a good spot to hang out because of the hype and popularity.
Pricing Prices were average for boba drinks in the Seattle area.
Service Service was okay. It took about 20 minutes for drinks to come out but it was also very busy so not too bad.

The top #1 item on the menu - the milk tea has NO milk - can you believe it? It comes with non dairy creamer.
You have to pay extra on top of a $7.50 drink to get MILK in your MILK TEA.
You order on a screen - and it asks you to tip. LOL. Nonsense. But this is crappy US culture - whatever. I did not tip.
The boba and jelly taste BAD. They are hard and low quality. Almost feel like year old boba. I found myself spitting the boba and jelly out in a cup after every sip.
The tea AFTER I paid extra for MILK and then tax on top of that - is very close is $10 - and is WATERY. I had a doubt so I didn't finish my tea and left it out for 2 days - it did NOT curdle - means NO MILK was added in it even after I paid EXTRA for MILK in my MILK TEA~!!
Staff seem nice - she answered my question about why MILK is EXTRA CHARGE - LOL.
But no one calls out your number or name when your tea is ready - its just sitting there. There is NO sign to order the status - unless you want to give out your phone number- which I did not - maybe if I did I would get a text about my drink.
There are a 1000 tea shops opening every day - don't go to this one and waste your money.
Overall - not worth the price. I would pay $1 or $2 for this if they threw out all the...
Read moreI am a tea snob and I do not add milk or sweetener to my tea. I was a little worried when I first stepped into Come Buy Tea.
However, there were classic tea options with no added ingredients that were easy to locate on the menu.
I ordered a jasmine green iced tea and was horrified when I realized the leaves were going to be ground and the tea was going to be brewed using a modified espresso machine. That is not how one brews a traditional cup of tea.
That said, the process was fascinating. It's worth stopping by if you're a tea lover just to witness the brewing process. I believe the 3 seperate machines brew at different temperatures, whi h makes sense. The giant tea hoppers on the walls have the grinders built into them, so the tea-rista slots the espresso pod thing into the hopper and the tea is ground directly into it.
All of this to say, it was the BEST cup of jasmine green tea I've had since the days when I worked at a tea shop and could brew my own.
They have a lovely assortment of oolong, black, and green teas, and the tea itself appeared to be of higher quality, especially for a shop that makes bubble teas and the like.
