A server we crossed paths with recommended we visit La Josie's for their Pollo Verde Pozole, a dish that is not easily found within walking distance to our home. First visit tonight and we were extremely pleased with everything from start to finish. First of all, the service was stellar. Very attentive and our server made great recommendations. As for the food: chips, salsa roja, guacamole, Pollo Quesadillas, bacon wrapped Shrimp and Pollo Verde Pozole. Talking about fresh and bursting with flavor! Everything was on point. Very authentic cuisine; they definitely lived up to comfort food as advertised. We have found our new favorite Mexican establishment. Latina owned and operated, is just the icing in the cake. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Looking forward to our return.
Update 6 months later: La Josie's continues to be our favorite restaurant in Seattle. I started ordering via Uber eats at work, and my co-workers all agree, this place is great. Over 50 visits with the so far and all have been...
Read moreI ordered the camarones a la diabla. it was really, really good. on the larger spectrum of american heat tolerances, i am comfortable with and enjoy a high-medium. the spice level for these were a degree or two above this for me and still enjoyable. the rice and avo cool down the spice a bit. it was simple, flavorful and just everything i wanted tonight. i also ordered the chips and queso. i am a queso fiend and have historically been deeply disappointed by the melted cheese and chips dishes i've had in seattle. this one was incredible. not what i was expecting flavor-wise, and i mean that in the best way possible. it's like a queso i've never had before. it isn't in your face out there, but like the shrimp it's also simple and refreshingly original. so good! i know where to get chips and queso now and i've been looking for three years. thanks so much for such a delicious dinner. i've passed this place several times and have always been curious about what i've seen on people's plates. i'm excited to know what...
Read moreI visited this restaurant around 6:20 PM and was initially patient when it took a while for the server to take our order. My boyfriend and I ordered two chicken chimichangas, and while I understand that delays can happen during busy times, the restaurant was not busy at all.
After waiting for 30 minutes without receiving our food, I asked the server for an update. She simply said, “It’s coming,” but offered no further explanation. After waiting even longer with no sign of our food, we decided to leave. I approached the manager/bartender to inform them about our experience before walking out.
Shockingly, the bartender/ manager followed me outside, yelling on the street and blaming the servers. His behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional….
This experience was incredibly disappointing, and I will not be...
