If this review was only for the food, I would give it close to 5 stars. The meat at Meat Moot Seattle is good, flavorful, tender, and well presented.
Unfortunately, this review has to cover the overall service and experience as well. We went on Sunday night at 6:30pm to celebrate my father's 79th birthday. We ordered our meat from the counter and were escorted to our table by a lady named Mariem based on the name listed on our bill. She took the meat tickets and told us our sides would be coming shortly. For the next 20 minutes nothing came. No sides, no water, no drink order, not even a check-in. My wife eventually went back to the counter area to ask another server about our sides. He said we would be served shortly. Another 10 minutes passed before the sides finally arrived. By this point we were already halfway through our meat which was good but without sides or sauces. We then asked the same server to take our drink order. He did. But another 15 minutes went by with no drinks. Multiple servers passed our table and when we asked them to follow up, they asked, “Who is your server?” We asked them to please help us or find out for us. That request went nowhere. At this point we were almost done eating and still had no water or drinks.
I approached the manager Yousef and explained what was happening. He came to our table, apologized, and finally got the drinks served. But then came another surprise. No one returned to give us our bill. After waiting another 10 minutes, I walked back to the counter to ask to pay myself. The manager apologized again and rang us up. During this time I saw the original person who seated us. I mentioned that we had not seen her after being seated. She said she was not actually our server, she just seats people, and that Antony was our server. That was news to us since Antony never showed up once the entire evening.
And despite the complete lack of service such as no water, no drinks until the end, no follow-up, no clearing, and no bill delivery, we were automatically charged a 20 percent large party service fee. It felt disrespectful and out of touch with what we experienced. They did offer a 10% discount which was embarrassing at best given the 20% service charge they had added. I chose not to keep giving this feedback on deaf ears and walked out.
The manager at the exit took my number, promised to follow up right after but I have not heard anything back. Guess customer feedback and issues mean nothing to them.
Overall, this establishment needs to address its service model. The food is good, but the service experience was a joke, chaotic, disorganized, and dismissive. For that reason, despite the good food, I would avoid this place until they fix their...
Read moreI went to Meat moot Seattle location tonight and honestly wow! What a very delightful and amazing food and amazing experience. My honest opinions about this place: the atmosphere is great and lovely, this place reminded me of one of the modern luxurious traditional Persian restaurant I went and this place feels like you’ve been to the luxury persian restaurant. My honest and great opinion about the food: the food is amazing. I got the lamb ribs and oh my God! What a tasty and what a tender meat that was. Honestly, that is the most tastiest and unique smoked meat flavor I ever tasted in the first time and in the world in the greater Seattle area. We also got the beef ribs and that was juicy as well. Also, what I loved really much about the beef ribs is that I liked how crispy the meat was. I especially would love to shout out and highly encourage the owner that opened up the restaurant and I found that the owner was friendly as well. Service can be much much improved during busy times and it was slow but overall, you guys are doing great. Keep it up! I highly recommend this restaurant and would give it 100 stars and worth trying it out. You will not be disappointed. I’ll definitely be coming back to try...
Read morethe brisket was dry, but the taste was good it did have a funky aftertaste though but it was still good enough to eat. they ran out of beef and that’s a low from a restaurant that just opened up they obviously should have had extra meat in stock. the meat also came cold in under 5-6 minutes it was cold and i didn’t enjoy it as much as i thought, i had really high expectations because im a meat lover but this place was not it.. so were the meat options there aren’t many options to choose from but their rice was good. meat cold and dry then the floors.. they were literally so wet i fell down and my mom almost slipped and she’s still in postpartum imagine a pregnant woman, my cousins and sister fell too because it was way too slippery. environment was like a 7/10 and the whole thing was a solid 6.5/10. especially for the price.. 50 dollars for a pound of meat? not to mention they also weigh the bones stingy much, the bones were heavy too, very less seasoning you could taste the meat way too much like straight up meat no seasoning no flavor just plain meat. this was a one time thing and i don’t think ill come again ever. was truly...
