It's hard to accurately describe the level of community and service O'Donnell Fremont represents. Of the literal hundreds of restaurants and bars I've been to, nowhere has ever made me feel more at home. In specific the barman Johnny lights up the whole place like a beacon. He made a point of introducing himself by name and committed mine to memory on the spot, was friendly and attentive, and also observant of everyone on the level that a good friend would be, making conversation, tending refills or food service, etc etc. Every person I saw pass through the door was addressed by name as well and that really says something about the value put into each person the man saw. Pints of Guinness and other beers poured with the highest degree of care and time, which to a beer enthusiast like myself it makes all the difference in flavor. The place just seems like a slice of home, whether it be the family eating dinner with their toddler as casually as if they had made dinner themselves or the patrons coming for a pint and some of the most delicious shepherds pie (served proper with lamb as opposed to cottage pie with beef) that you'll find anywhere. Everyone had the vibe of belonging and were addressed as such. The only complaint I can possibly muster is that I live 45 minutes away and can't pop in multiple times a week. I suppose that will save my wallet in the...
Read moreI recently visited this charming Irish pub/American grill and was immediately struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the cheerful green decor to the lively music and friendly staff, it felt like I had been transported to Ireland.
During happy hour, I had the pleasure of trying the applewood smoked bacon cheddar burger, which was an absolute delight. The juicy patty was perfectly cooked and the crispy bacon and melted cheddar added just the right amount of flavor. But what really made this burger stand out was the secret sauce - a tangy, savory condiment that added a whole new dimension of flavor to the dish.
And the prize-winning bun was the perfect complement to the burger. Soft, yet sturdy enough to hold all the delicious ingredients together.
But what really stood out to me was the exceptional service. The bartender greeted me with a warm smile and an authentic Irish accent, and the rest of the staff were just as friendly and engaging. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and valued as a customer.
Overall, I would highly recommend this Irish pub to anyone looking for a small slice of Ireland. The delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service make it a standout in the area. Don't...
Read moreI came here assuming that a “certified Irish” Guinness and food would be a guarantee of “Irish-ish” stuff. The waiter looks like an Irish and he told me he was certified in pouring Guinness. Let me open a parenthesis here: there are lots of steps and techniques to be follow/used in order to get a perfect Guinness. And our “certified” red waiter did not follow them, unfortunately. Beer was still forming the foam when arrived at my table. Kind of excessive detail from me, I know, but if they claim to be experts, they need to show who they are. Shepherds pie was a free, far reach re-interpretation of original Scottish plate (unless they were proposing an Irish “certified” version of it). My son had a burger, juicy and good according to him. As appetizer, we order a poutine that was not bad but we have to remember: poutine is a Canadian food, nothing even close to Ireland. It was not bad but it was not fantastic either. Overall, the experience was still in the...
