I was really excited to celebrate my ten year work anniversary in person with my boss. I don’t get to Seattle often and love Italian food. Unfortunately the server we had acted like we were putting him out (the disdain and the mullet were not ironic). It was a whole vibe. As a queer person myself I was mortified to be treated like I was a second class citizen by a member of my own community. Oh, and the service was so SLOW. When we were ordering, he kept making sure we understood bread wasn’t included with the burrata so we made sure to order the focaccia (which was to die for!) but it didn’t come out with the burrata. We had to wait while the rest of our plates came out and then eventually the focaccia came out. Like, dude, if you’re going to keep bugging us about the “vessel” not being included, at least get the “vessel” out at the same time as the food it’s supposed to support. He either put the order in wrong or the kitchen messed up. Hard to say. If anyone from this restaurant is reading this, go get your whole staff a copy of “unreasonable hospitality” and learn something about how to treat your guests. I felt like I was putting this guy out by being there. That’s not how this is supposed to work. As for the food, it was amazing. But there was a dark shadow of queer disdain and malaise overshadowing it. I won’t be back.

I came here the first time for Valentine’s Day with my husband, and have been back almost every week since with some of my girlfriends! Every time I go in the staff remembers me, and they even go as far as remembering some of my preferences. So friendly and so knowledgeable. I’ve been for both lunch and dinner, and I must say, for reasons of no wait seating and seeing the space filled with light, lunch is my favorite! They offer a limited menu, but it has plenty. I find when I split a pizza and a salad with other person, I leave full with a few leftovers. When ordering for dinner, we usually get the fried calamari (so dang good) from the fritti menu, and two things from the primi menu, which is usually the endive salad (with an insane parmasean-y dressing) and the meatballs (which tend to sell out). For a main we do one of their super dense, super bright tasting pizzas (the mushroom pizza is my FAVORITE), and even then, we leave stuffed with enough leftovers for both parties to have another meal! Also, I never leave without ordering the tiramisu. It is one of my favorite iterations of an already much loved dessert! It also be said that I’m a huge interior decor nerd, and pink lover, so the vibe of the space reminds me of some of my favorite well-designed spots from traveling.

I wouldn’t go back even if they offered me free food or drink.

The drink we had was wonderful, the staff.... rude, cold, stuffy, and unfriendly. I felt completely uncomfortable.

My boyfriend and I came across this place while walking around Seattle. The building looked interesting and we like to explore. Upon entering, the host wasn’t at the host stand, which is fine, we just wanted a drink at the bar. We asked if we could sit, but we had to wait for her? Only to be told to sit wherever we like.

When we said we didn’t want any food, the bartender and hostess didn’t make me feel welcome. I have a very restrictive diet and I looked at their menu and I couldn’t have anything.

My boyfriend and I will often go to local bars and enjoy a drink together and we will stay and have more drinks or food if we desire. I also am not a big alcohol person, so I like to have him order a drink and if I like it I will get one myself, or we will try another.

After ordering the drink, our menus were taken away and our bill was placed in front of us. I felt rushed and treated as if I didn’t belong, or couldn’t afford more. Now mind you the drinks with their added gratuity came to $18. I would hope to have better service when I’m laying almost $20 for a drink.

I tried asking the bartender about the building and he just informed me that the other floors weren’t open to the public. He never checked into see how we were doing, or if we wanted anything else. Basically he just brushed us off and he arrogant attitude of the establishment was a complete turn off.

My boyfriend, knowing something was off, asked if I was okay, and I said we would talk after we left. I am a very observant person and I watch people, and so I also watch the staff.

When another waitress came around to set napkins out in front of us, the bartender made a cut off signal next to his neck. Which just was weird, is it a secret that we don’t want food? How about instead , “oh they don’t need napkins they are just enjoying cocktails, thank you”.

Worst experience I have had in a restaurant or bar in a long time. I would give no...

When you have such an amazing opportunity to secure a venue as unique as the spheres it’s a shame to squander that with poorly executed food. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the portions are exceedingly small even by haute cuisine standards. The menu is so limited as it provides only choices between appetizers, 36oz steak (not a misprint) or pizza (really like we need more pizza places). Started with the suppli mozzarella and tomato which I thought was an amuse bouche when it arrived, was most reminiscent of a hot pocket only less satisfying, obviously not much thought went into this dish which consists of two very small fried tomatoes with cheese. We also ordered mortadella pizza. I have been to Rome several times and have had mortadella pizza before and it was delicious, here at Willmonts not so much. Far far and away too much oil was used and as a result the crust wasn’t so much baked as it was burned. The whole thing was just poorly done. For ambiance I am willing to overlook what could just be chef’s bad day but here the lights are too bright and the staff cold, it’s like eating in a hospital setting. Frankly the whole thing just doesn’t work, small plate Italian in a bright space with a cold and unfeeling atmosphere. Finally ordered ice cream and after waiting about a half hour for it we were informed it wasn’t setting up properly and they were out so we ordered the olive oil cake which was unremarkable. All in all I am really disappointed as I work just next door and was hoping this space would be used for something unique, as it is I wouldn’t expect this place to last long. Word is out that it’s not great. If you are thinking Italian in an interesting space there are many alternatives in Seattle that will leave you much...
