Ok so for my birthday we decided to go to this new Dave and Buster's in Sevierville. They have been open for several weeks. It was myself, my wife, our two daughters, my son-in law, niece, grandkids and a patridge in a pear tree. We got there at around 20 minutes after 8. Total 6 adults and 5 kids. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 kids chicken strips and 5 all you can eat wings/limited "unlimited" games. We also ordered a non-alcoholic drink per person. Wait time to be seated was about 13 minutes despite the parking lot being less than half full on a Thursday night. We got seated and in about 15 minutes the server arrived for the drink order. Took about 10 minutes to get them. We placed our order at this time which was 9:00pm. After 45 minutes we got one appetizer, the chicken strips and our first round of all you can eat wings. They came in a small cardboard tray with 5 wings and fries. The server left to go get the rest of our food and we immediately noticed the wings and fries were cold. Not just like warm but actually cold as in sitting in an air conditioned room for 45 minutes cold. So we sat there and 10 minutes later she came back with drink refills bit no second appetizer. I politely let her know that our wings/fries were all cold and that we were missing the appetizer. The time was 9:55. She said she would order more and get our appetizer. At 10:05 the manager came by and said he was asked to come speak to us. We had not yet asked to speak to him but figured the server did knowing we were a little unhappy. So we explained the situation and he wrote down what we needed and apologized and left to go sort it out. By 10:15 we finally had all our food and it was hot. We ordered a pre-emptive second round of wings due to the small potions hoping we could eat them and still have at least an hour or so to play our "unlimited" limited games before they closed at midnight. We got our second round of wings at 10:30. We ate them and started to migrate to the game side. I go to settle up and got the bill. It was full price. I had to ask twice to get my military discount. We basically had to spend an extra 45 minutes at least waiting for food that we shouldn't have had to and honestly we all felt that we should have been treated a little better. The unlimited games, as it turns out, do not include the VR games, ticket games or prize games for the 20 buck deal. We ended up getting the equivalent of one regular order of wings which is 10 bucks and played maybe 20 bucks worth of games total amongst us all. So we overpaid by 30 bucks, had to waste 45 extra minutes for food that was hot despite them not being very busy, and paid full price for lousy service. I cannot recommend this place. We live locally and will not ever go back. Happy...
Read moreCustomer service is AWFUL. Food was okay. Games were fun. Upon approaching the front counter, the hostess, Katelyn, did not greet us or even smile. When I asked if we could sit in another section, because it is quieter and I have auditory sensitivity due to anxiety/OCD (I would not be at an arcade if I didn’t have 3 little boys 😅) the hostess informed me that they only have the one section open tonight. I asked if they could make an exception for us. She used her walkie to ask the manager. I heard her manager reply over the walkie “I’M NOT going to seat them there” At which point the hostess shook her head “no” at me. No apology, no verbal communication at all… just a head shake. 😶 I let her know that I think this is poor customer service to not make a simple accommodation. She then asked her manager, I was told her name is Summer; (no one wore name tags) to come to the host station. Summer approached the host without addressing me at all. She did not look at me or even speak a word to me. Keep in mind I am standing right in front of them! She instead said “what’s up” to the hostess. I interjected and asked if she could make an accommodation to seat us in another section, because it’s quieter over there. She replied “it’s loud everywhere”. I told her it’s actually quieter in this section over here. She told me that section is closed. I told her I didn’t understand why the server couldn’t walk an extra 20 feet to accommodate us. She replied that they only have one server. ??? Had it not been for my children and a pair of headphone that my husband had in the car that I wore, I would have left immediately. I am shocked that Summer has a manger position being so deficient in social and customer service skills!! It’s not shocking that the host lacked customer service skills and kept an AirPod in one ear… sadly, the standard of our employees is certainly not what it once was or should be. I’d like to mention that our server, Brad was friendly and good, but it’s different when your take home pay depends on your ability to do your job well. Game changer. The gentleman that worked the prize section was outstanding. He approached me to ask if I would like a bag for the take home boxes I was carrying and I noticed that he greeted everyone warmly. We purchased $118 game card & a $147.10 food bill. (Including tip) All sales are important, but this could have been a sizable loss for this location had we walked out, because we certainly didn’t feel our business was wanted here. I do not plan to return to...
Read moreFor starters after a 30 minute wait in line we finally reach the front of the line when a dissatisfied customer skips the line to come and make a complaint to the only attendant working at which time the manager was called to the front they glad stopped serving us and let us wait until that customer was taking care of for the second time.
Now we order the food when the drinks arrived the Coca-Cola was watered down like it had been sitting in ice at room temperature for an hour. The chicken tenders were slightly overcooked but the Philly cheesesteak if that's what you want to call it was absolutely terrible It looked so aesthetically unpleasing that it never had the first bite taken out of it It compared to the quality maybe lesser quality than what you would get out of the freezer section at the grocery store but not nearly as much effort was taken on it as what you could do yourself with frozen ones when the grocery store The steak was not even chopped the cheese was like a slice of sandwich cheese on top of it there were a few speckles of what looked like onion and pepper, The garlic parmesan fries were room temperature the second the plate hit the table upon discussing it with the manager while having our bill adjusted I was told that this is standard for that menu item because of the process of preparing it That also informed me that the manager was aware of this issue as is you would think the corporate office but yet we are still offered this fine delicacy for an upcharge of what the regular fries that may come out hot cost.
We seen our waitress two times during our visit once was 15 minutes after we sat down to take our drink order for our water down fountain drinks The other time was when she came to present the bill for the exquisite meal and experience we just had except for me I didnt indulge in the "Philly cheesesteak" I stopped at Taco Bell on the way back to the room.
Also when we purchased our play card and then purchased our separately priced VR experience we were never told no one ever bothered to inform us that the VR machine was down and since Sevierville is primarily a tourist town you would think the first thing would come to mind would be these people might not have a Dave & busters within a hundred miles of them but no they gladly sold it to us.
The only person I witness do anything right at this fine establishment was the mail manager who dealt with our complaints to take the certain items off of the bil.
We will never be back. Flavor town...
