Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Sevierville

Ok, so this location is in a highly tourist populated area, as well as local citizens. I agree the rebuild was long overdue and happy to see it back...However, There is no seating. There were families sitting on the lip of the trunk area of their cars, in the blazing sun, eating outside. There were elderly people trying to get up onto high barstools, at the 1 long communal high rise table in the middle. A lobby full of people, holding their food trays, waiting for a place to sit. Disabled person with no where to sit and eat. It definitely feels like your inside a small tuna can inside. Also, handicap parking is across the parking lot far from the doors. Limited parking unless you want to walk. (For the volume of people this place gets, with the limited seating, this matters) drive thru line is ridiculously long,if you're wanting to skip dine in...Best be prepared to wait. I visited twice since the re open... 1st time 4 days after re open, 2nd visit into 2nd week post reopen. Same dining area/drive thru scenario.

Have you avoided our LJS dining room like we have for the last year? No need to worry any longer! There are a team of ladies in here now that are the Dream Team!! I kid you not. We used to fear catching something at the drink station, we had to mentally prepare ourselves to sit at the booths and force ourselves not to look anywhere but the food on our plates just so we could get our LJS fix without being completely turned off by the dirt all around us. Well now folks, it’s time to come back. The fountain drink machine is clean, no more scary mold on the ice dispenser, the iced tea doesn’t taste like a science experiment, it tastes like fresh, delicious tea! The food - great as always but it somehow tastes even better now in this clean environment. I cannot brag on this experience enough. We told the ladies too, who thanked us for noticing and started how they have been really trying to turn this place around - goal achieved ladies!...

I previously left an EXTREMELY poor one-star review for this establishment, which review I had completely forgotten about until I started this new one just now. I have (obviously) revised my opinion if this place substantially over the well-over-a-year since that time. The staff has completely changed (likely because the previous folk supremely SUCKED) and my experience here now is never less than excellent. They've come to know me well, to the point that they enter my regular order as soon as they see my vehicle pull up. Sadly, they tell me that the property is going to begin a major renovation soon and will be closed for two months or longer. In consequence, I'm braced for almost inevitable staff changes and since it's these specific people that make all the difference, I don't hold out a lot of hope. We'll just have to wait and see. But definitely go now, while the GOOD folk...
