The Fudgery at Tanger Outlets Five Oaks — Restaurant in Sevierville

So after shopping for our wedding bands at Zales we decided to make a trip to the Fudgery because we had never been there. Since my fiancé just spent a lot of money on me, the least I could do was take him for a sweet year!! We get in line and order our fudge chillers and a very sweet cashier begins ringing us up! We came to Tanger just to shop and we only had a one hundred bill. The cashier takes our money and starts to give us our change back and the “manager” Mandy begins to loudy say we DO NOT take those. If you don’t have anything smaller I am going to refuse the sale. The poor cashier apologized and said I am sorry I didn’t know. So then my fiancé had a twenty and he ended up buying the shakes which was fine. The cashier didn’t know how much change to give us back because she had already entered that we paid with $100.00 in her system. So she asks Mandy how much change to give us back. Mandy tells her and she gives us back the change. I said excuse me this isn’t right. The order total was 13.39 and she gave us 6.11 back. She literally yelled at me in front of a lot of other customers and said I know that change is right... like we were trying to rip her off. She ended up realizing she did in fact give us the incorrect change and then gave us back the other .50 cents. Well we were still waiting for my fiancé ‘a drink and she looked over and said what else do you need very unprofessionally and rude. The other customers are looking at me and saying OH MY GOD!! By this time, this lady is really working my nerves and I say we still have a drink we are waiting on and she Blair’s her eyes and yells at me and says OKAY. What was supposed to be an amazing day for my fiancé and I ended up being ruined by this hateful “Manager”. All of this being said I am a Human Resource manager and just a tip for the Fudgery, before you make someone a manager, please be sure they know how to interact with people, instead of being hiring hateful, rude, idiot people!! I will NEVER be back there and I will be sharing this experience on every social media platform imaginable. This is unacceptable and we should have never been...

Didnt have my turtle candy I always get. No we sold out. Then no we cant put pecans on top of your milk shake. They are salty anyway, u wouldnt like them. Lady I know what I like and they both were rude in their responses. I work for hours after driving 4 to 6 hours one way to work, and I STILL TREAT EVERYONE AS NICE AS I POSSIBLY COULD! SO DONT GIVE ME ANY EXCUSE IM TIRED, DONT FEEL GOOD, PEOPLE WERE RUDE. I WORK WITH PEOPLE EVERY SINGLE DAY AND YES SOME ARE DOWN RIGHT MEAN AS HELL. BUT I AM STILL AS NICE AS I CAN BE, ITS WHAT GOD WOULD WANT ME TO DO. So I really hope alot of people read this and change if you're not the same everyday and be joyful. Forget how you feel, you might just save a life one day. So someone may have given up on life and that is the root of their attitude. Show them you care. Make them feel special and watch their mood swing. I know you all didn't read this review to be preached at, but I felt I needed to share this. A nurse made me smile on the inside one day in surgery. She said so seriously and puzzled, Steve I never realized you got up at 2am and drove 4 hours to come work here and you are always in a good mood, joking and treating everyone so nice. Inside my mouth was wide open in shock. I never knew anyone noticed or even cared. I was speechless. All I could say was, thank you, i try really hard to always make my job as pleasant as i can. People do notice every word and action that you do. They may not ever say something, it was years before I ever heard anything. Honestly I never thought I would hear those words she said for sure. But I knew they noticed that I never came in complaining or mean to anyone. I never called in sick for 7 years till finally had a surgery so missed my first day at work. If I could give this location a zero, I would. We walked into the store around 4:50 PM today and no one was in front. We decided to take that time to look at the fudge and make a decision on what we wanted. As we were looking at the selections, an employee walked in from the back and said something. We were mid conversation and was just about to greet her back. She started making comments out loud about how we were rude and something about how she was just talking to herself. She made her way over to the counter and I decided to leave without addressing the issue at all. As we were walking out of the door, another employee told us to have a great day. I replied back to her telling her to as well. The lady behind the counter got snippy with the other employee and told her not to wish us a great day because we were rude. I stuck my head back in and told her she was rude and super unprofessional. She then tried to argue with me before I decided to walk away and contacted corporate. If you can't work in a retail environment then you need to find another job! So unprofessional!!!!!!!!! We did nothing to warrant such behavior from her! I've never in my life had such a terrible...
