This is definitely not your traditional Italian restaurant but that's a good thing. They have burgers, sandwiches and Indian food.
The food is delicious, the seasoning and care put into each dish is very evident. It seems strange to order Indian at an Italian restaurant but their chef is from India and those dishes do not disappoint.
The samosas had an incredible crispy crust and the dipping sauce was sweet. It's two per order and one is more than enough for one person.
The curry chicken is probably the best curry dish in the motherlode. The portion was huge (you will have leftovers) and comes with a nice yogurt sauce to drizzle over each bite. The Naan bread is cooked in house and pairs perfectly with this dish. The aloo Chana was equally flavorful and another huge portion, it seemed like an entire can of garbanzo beans.
The namesake Italian food was also delicious. Every pasta has the option to add steak, shrimp, or chicken. The pesto was a true homemade pesto. Ypu could really taste the fresh basil and the shrimp paired perfectly. The breadsticks were good but got a little stale as they sat.
It is a large place with plenty of seating and a very nice group table right up front. The lighting is a little uneven, so some tables are in darkness and others are directly under rhe lights.
Considering there were only a few other tables, the service was a little slow. Our server was very friendly and had a great attitude but after saying bread was coming right out it was awhile before it finally arrived.
The food is absolutely worth every penny and I'll definitely be back but don't come here expecting a...
Read moreGood, not great. We were one of only two tables in the entire restaurant and it still took OVER an hour for our meal to come out, with apps arriving at the same time. Had to ask for a table, had to ask for a menu, had to ask for the check. Our server was very kind but inexperienced which made the interactions awkward at times. Not really her fault, just part of the whole picture.
The place was clean and the dining room was open and airy. The decor was generic Italian wine and grapes, with a few real plants sprinkled amongst the plastic ones.
When our food finally came out it was hot and tasty for sure, but a bit pricey for what we received. Samosas had good flavor but weren't sealed well, and honestly could have used double the filling. Butter chicken was watery although it did have good flavor. Tikki Masala was rich and perfectly spicy. The chicken in these dishes was scant, but not overcooked or freezer burnt which was a plus. Our naan was a bit oily but not bad at all. Pizza was nothing to write home about, but the kids had no complaints. All this considering, I will be back to try more items on their menu. The flavors were reminiscent of warmth and home cooking, and the diverse choices at this restaurant deserve a second chance and a place in...
Read moreI have tried Vineys a few times over the years but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The food is extremely overpriced for the amount you get. $14 for 4 over cooked mozzarella sticks. The “beef” raviolis are actually cheese raviolis with some meat sprinkled on top and swimming in grease. The Chicken Marsala had zero flavor, somehow even the chicken had no flavor. The lasagna was the only decent thing but it was also swimming in grease. Every attempt at taking a bite pushed the grease out of the bowl and all over the table. I got a soda refill and it had ants floating in it. We told the server about the ants and he came back a few minutes later with a new drink but when we told him the amount of grease was disgusting and he claimed “that’s what happens when you cook meat.” We stated we can’t eat a bowl of grease and his reply was “it is not disgusting, those are our best sellers and there’s nothing wrong with the food. Maybe there’s something wrong with your taste.”
I would avoid this place like COVID. Unless you want to pay for an overpriced trip to bathroom or ER. I know if I tried to eat that soupy mess that is exactly where I would have ended up. I will never go back and I will never recommend anyone to eat...
