El Dicho Cafe in Lake Tahoe is a delightful discovery for anyone who cherishes the warmth and charm of small local businesses. Managed by a very friendly owner who works alongside her two children, the cafe exudes a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
Having been remodeled only four months ago, the cafe presents a fresh and modern look while maintaining a homely vibe. The cleanliness and tidiness of the place are impeccable, making every visit comfortable and enjoyable.
My first encounter with El Dicho Cafe was over a cup of coffee with my wife. We were both impressed by the exceptional quality of the coffee, which boasted a rich aroma and exquisite flavor. This excellent first impression led us to return for breakfast with our family. We tried the bagel with cream cheese, breakfast bagels, and mini pancakes, all of which were delicious and satisfying.
El Dicho Cafe is open every day from 7 am to 6 pm, making it a convenient spot for both early risers and afternoon visitors. Based on my delightful experiences, I highly recommend El Dicho Cafe to anyone visiting Lake Tahoe. Whether it’s for their exceptional coffee or their delicious breakfast offerings, this cafe is sure to provide a...
Read moreWe headed to the new cute place based on the reviews and we were super glad we did. This place used to be a bike shop but now it’s a cute cafe. We got 2 breakfast burritos (chorizo!), a mocha, and a dirty chai latte. A soccer match was on the TV so we decided to eat in. The burritos came with this amazing salsa (a bit spicy but perfect level), the latte was balanced and espresso smooth (not burnt). The mocha was chocolatey but not too chocolatey. We enjoyed the atmosphere, clean tables, and extras at the self serve station (salsas, cutlery, and for the morning coffee crowd- creamers). This place has a pretty great selection of pressed juices and smoothies (we didn’t try this morning but a few people ordered juices while we were there, they looked good and they were made fresh in the back). Friendly service, definitely will go back to try other things on the menu. Park in the lot next door, the front has...
Read moreI’ve gone here twice and both of my times here I haven’t had the best experience, both times they were out of a few items for the antojitos so we had to improvise and use other items that they’ve had, also both times I’ve had to wait over 20 mins for my items. I am never one to complain it’s fine if it’s busy but I went yesterday and I was there for 35 mins waiting meanwhile 4 other guests that got their food before me all got their food. I went up to the girl to see how much longer and I think they had forgotten about it because she said she was going to check and a few mins later she came out with it. I really wish she would’ve also been more communicative with me during and said “it will be a few more minutes” or something. Both times they seem to just not...
