Elevated Wine Experience is a hidden gem in South Lake Tahoe! The wine tasting options offer an incredible variety at an amazing value, making it easy for anyone to enjoy a top-tier experience without breaking the bank. But if you're in the mood to splurge, there are fantastic premium options as well.
I chose the three premium red wine tasting, and every pour was absolutely delicious. The owner, Alex, made fantastic recommendations, tailoring the experience to my preferences. The 2015 ST. JORGE OLD VINE ZINFANDEL was chefs kiss.
My friend opted for the premium white wine tasting and fell in love with the Chardonnay (2019 SILVESTRI CHARDONNAY), so much so that it's now her new favorite!
The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in until the very end. Even though we stayed a little past closing, we never felt rushed or like we were inconveniencing anyone and had to get out. Instead, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxed. It felt almost like having wine at home with new friends.
One of the standout details was the selection of books around the space. The "Winery Dogs" books were fun, but we absolutely loved the "Where's Waldo?" books! It was such a unique touch that encouraged us to unplug from our phones and enjoy a fun, interactive moment together.
Beyond the ambiance, the knowledge and passion behind the wine selections were evident. The way each wine was explained (its origins, flavors, and nuances) made it feel like we were at a vineyard rather than a wine bar on the main strip. It was an immersive, educational, and enjoyable experience all in one.
Unfortunately, we had dinner beforehand, so we didn't get to try the food, but I'll definitely be back to pair some oysters with their amazing wine selection! We did, however, try a slice of the tiramisu cheesecake paired with a port, at Alex's recommendation, and it was absolutely delicious.
If I had one regret, it's that I was so immersed in the experience that I forgot to take pictures until we were headed out the door! But honestly, that just speaks to how much we enjoyed every moment. I'll definitely be back. Next time, maybe I'll remember to snap a few photos before I get lost in the wine and great company!

Read moreThis is a big warning, do not go to this place. They are clever crooks. My wife and I went there over the weekend. When we got there we wondered why there were no customers. We found out why. We were encouraged to try some wines before we chose the one we wanted to have a glass to enjoy. My wife and I tasted about 5 different wines. They literally gave us a tiny amount to taste, very normal for wine tasting. Once we chose we sat down to drink a glass each. We wondered why the pour was only 2 ounces but it was ok. We weren’t that excited about the wines they had anyway. When we finished we went to pay and lo and behold the bill was 96.00! Wow! Two 2 ounce pours 96 dollars! Beware there are no prices anywhere and no signs. I decided to ask why my bill was so high, the owner explained that each time we sampled the wines we were charged 8.00! Remember no signs and they never told us they were charging us while they were encouraging us to do taste. In top of the fact when we finally chose they were super expensive pours of only 2 ounces each. When I disputed the fact that we were not told we would be charged for trying the wines before we chose, he said good night sir. I was appalled! This place is a total ripoff. They are blatantly misleading people. That’s why no one was there on a Friday night in one of the most busiest weekends, it was the celebrity golf tournament. Thousands of people were there everything was packed instead of them. Beware, these are bad people! You have...
Read moreThis afternoon, in an attempt to momentarily distract myself, I found myself at an elevated wine bar in South Lake Tahoe, just a precise stone’s throw from the lights and roar of nearby casinos.
The interior—minimalist yet tasteful, with soft illumination highlighting elegant racks of vintage bottles—was pleasingly reminiscent of my last visit to Napa. Casey, our appointed sommelier, appeared suitably professional, composed yet personable. Her attentiveness verged comfortably on meticulous obsession, something I admired immediately.
Casey expertly navigated us through a carefully curated selection of premium wines, traversing effortlessly from crisp, minerally whites reminiscent of Sonoma’s fog-drenched mornings, to bold, complex reds, rich and dark as Tahoe’s shadowy mountain forests. Each pour was precise, deliberate—an exhibition of controlled perfection. Her knowledge, extensive yet presented with disciplined brevity, complemented the overall elevated experience.
In short, the service was impeccable, the wines deeply satisfying, and the setting sufficiently exclusive to recommend it without hesitation to fellow wine enthusiasts who appreciate precision, sophistication, and subtlety. Ideal, perhaps, for those rare evenings when the chaos of Tahoe decadence demands a...
