Sunday, 5/28/2023 - We were craving for some crepes. So decided to eat at Creative Crepes in South Lake Tahoe. Address is 4118 Lake Tahoe Blvd, Ste 7, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. This little business is about 600sq feet. Rough estimate. It's located on the strip on the 2nd floor. Upon arrival:

Conclusion With the few "cons" of this restaurant, we all liked it. Staffs were friendly. Easy to get water. Crepes were good. Well, some of our crepes were good. Glad it was mine. 😆 Roomy. Large tables to accommodate larger groups. We had a good experience. Try if you...
Read moreI recently discovered this charming place while in Tahoe for a Phish concert, and was so excited to find a crepe place right by Harrah's where we were staying. This place is a 1-2 minute walk from the casinos, and SO worth it (and hey, WAY better quality food)! I love crepes but it's hard to find real quality ones. (I live in Sacramento, a foodie town, and we have a few crepe spots, Danielle's being the best).
Well I was inpressed enough with Creative Crepes that I felt compelled to write a glowing review. I ordered a savory crepe with ham and Swiss cheese (and despite what another reviewer said, my savory crepe wasn't sweet. They get their Sweet and Savory right here) and it was perfect ... super delicious, fresh, crispy and soft, and at the price it's probably the best breakfast and lunch value in the region (Tahoe can be hela pricey).
The other reason I feel compelled to post a review is that this business has suffered so many odd bad reviews, and by that I mean someone posted a 1 star review because the place wasn't open when they went there - c'mon.
I met the owner and found her to be very conscientious, kind, and passionate about her craft. She also genuinely cares ... I saw she has warmly replied to several unhappy yelp reviews. I'm a business owner and I can attest that those are hard to write, so I give her credit for being engaged in that.
Anyway, thanks for reading this rambling post, I feel I just needed to straighten out a few things, leave my feedback, and promote a better level of...
Read moreMy husband and I both enjoyed late morning classic breakfast crepes with bacon at this restaurant. The place was packed when we arrived about 10:45AM and were told it would be about 20 minutes for our food. Two people working in tandem to fulfill orders. A sign said they were using paper plates because they were short-staffed. However, our food did arrive on "real" plates; however, our juices were in paper cups. No big deal to us. The staff worked hard as we watched them from our vantage point. A customer stopped to talk with the female chef and it obviously threw her rhythm/timing off, but she took the time to visit with this grateful customer. The crowd thinned after awhile and the two employees immediately went into clean up and freshen up mode, wiping down the crepe machines; changing out dish bins and washing the plates, replenishing the food containers, etc. One customer said, "Delicious! You are always the first place we visit when we come to Tahoe." Our crepes were perfectly cooked and tasted so yummy. I can see how this establishment has repeat business. Even in this time when there is such a short supply of restaurant employees, these two made us feel welcomed, and served up top-notch crepes. Wish we had room (in our tummys) for something sweet there!...
