Park city brewing was a pleasant and unexpected stop on my 2022 mountain biking trip. It has fantastic beer, great food, and a wonderful atmosphere. While driving through several western states and stopping in various towns to ride my mountain bike, I found myself in Park city. I enjoyed a day at nearby Deer Valley Resort. After riding all day, I was looking for a fresh pint of beer and a delicious meal to replenish my exhausted body. I looked at several different breweries in the area and drove to some of them. None of them jumped out at me until I got to Park City brewing. I immediately knew that this was the place I was looking for. I walked in and I was greeted by a friendly bartender who offered me a delicious IPA. While drinking it, I started talking to others who were sitting at the bar as well as the bartenders. Everyone was smiling, everyone was happy, and everyone was enjoying their night. I ordered the chicken sandwich on the advice of a fellow customer. I don’t know if I could have been any happier, the sandwich was delicious. Perfectly crispy, wonderfully crunchy, very juicy and delicious. I know it sounds impossible, but the onion rings were even better than the burger. Wow! This was exactly what I was craving. It’s not often that I feel like I connect with a restaurant staff. The folks behind the bar were always willing to give me a hand and recommend a next drink, a menu item, or the answer to a question about the brewery. Go eat here. You will not regret it.

Utah has been hitting the national lists of best beers and spirits for years now. And Park City Brewing is no exception to earning a place atop that list. You can find hard seltzer most places these days, and 2 out of 3 likely taste watered down, or over artificially sweetened, or have something else slightly "off" about them. This is where Park City Brewing shines. There is no greater Seltzer, and I would die on this hill, in this country, or possibly any country, than the Tropical POG Seltzer PCB makes. It is made with real fruit in a micro batch. It is heavenly. And they have other flavors that are also incredible! Peach and strawberry lemonade. They also have a small amount of cans available for purchase to take home. Go here for the seltzer, seriously, but enjoy some great food while you're at it. The chicken sandwich is great. The cheese curds are great. I can't wait to go back more regularly. People need to know about this place.

Top notch security. Dogs everywhere! The outside dining parameter was filled with growlers! Puns aside, we had a fantastic time. Enjoyed the food and the beer. For beer, I started with a flight of 4. This featured two lagers, a pilsner, and an IPA. This visit, I was particular impressed with Siren's Call, a bright American-style Lager. For the record, all four beers had great flavor. For food, we ordered tater tots with the Bleu cheese and BBQ sauce added, then some tri-tip tacos. The outside patio faces the Park City Olympic Park where the Olympics was held in 2002. It's hard to beat the view. Come out and make your own experience here! I have a feeling it will be a good one 😀.

A Monday evening experience: 3 persons appeared to be on staff, maybe 4 if the food runner and cook were separate. We (2 people) joined a group that had a reservation but sat at an adjacent table and asked to start a tab when our server took our order. We were told "that's not necessary" so we assumed they operated like a table service restaurant. Midway through our beer we were checked on by our very courteous server, but it was too soon to have ordered a second round. As time went on it was clear the staff were overwhelmed. I will easily drink 3 beers in two hours (the amount of time we were there) but was never given a chance to order a second one. As the group began to wrap up our gathering, the amount of people standing around searching for a staff member to pay increased. No one communicated to us that there was a POS system issue. So not only were we cut off from having a second beer, but we also weren't allowed to pay and leave. They would not accept cash. I waited for at least 20 mins at the bar without being acknowledged while the bartender continued serving the 2 men (not in our group) sitting at it. Rumor got around that it was an issue with splitting the bill, yet they would not re-enter the items into separate bills so we could pay. At this point the owner should have offered to take whatever cash we did have and cover the rest, because we were all itching to get home, many of us hungry because we never got to order food.

Aside from this atrocity, I have nothing kind to say about this place. We were never offered water and there was no self-service station. Both mens and womens bathrooms smelled awful. The atmosphere is cold. (literally and visually) with only greys and blacks. Cold metal chairs and thermostat set too low. There is no decor. Even their merch is lame, getting no help from the logo... Did some big developer just slap this place together? No originality, except in the descriptions of the beer names, which I was actually interested in initially. Hard to tell if a brewery makes good beer when you only get to try one. I'm disappointed that someone appears to be allowed a business in PC just because they have the money for the strip mall rent. This business model would never survive any real competition. If I try hard to find something nice to say, it's that the pint we had was at least reasonably priced - good job, I guess? There are so many small businesses out there whose owners bend over backwards to create a good experience; please seek them out and give them your...

If you want a terrible attitude at where you're about to spend money, this is the place for you. I would not call this a brewery or a restaurant. The brewing equipment is not much more than an enthusiastic home brewer might have. A brewery would also know their beers. When I say I would like the Pilsner and there is only one pilsner in the brewery, the server should not ask, "Which one is that?" Which one is it? It's the PILSNER!

Now for the food. They claim to have a Wagyu burger. That is not wagyu; it is chop steak that has been on sale at Smith's. Medium rare does not mean cooking all the juice out of it if it had any in the first place. Their gourmet pretzels – deep-fried pieces of dough served with a bowl or cheez whiz. Who deep-fries pretzels? They were sitting in a pool of grease! I was brave and tried one. Yeah, it was terrible, awful, like an old garlic knot without the taste.

Now the attitude. Entering, you will see an unkempt guy looking at his phone, who will then reluctantly put it down. Now the best part of this place is its view, so we ask to sit outside. No says the unwashed; you cannot sit outside. We do not have enough staff. Remember that there are four tables with people, two other servers and a bartender looking at his phone, and this is a service industry. Ok, we will get a few beers at the bar and sit out there; if we need anything, we'll come back and order from the bar. Nope can't do that. Why? Because others will see you out there and want to sit there too. Can you believe that? They are afraid people will see us and want to come into their restaurant and SPEND MONEY! How dare we suggest such a thing!

This is a restaurant or claims to be. Your job is to give the guest a great experience, especially when serving terrible food. It’s the only way to get them to come back. Why make it worse? Make an effort or at...
