Andy's is a great little neighborhood watering hole. Located technically on the edge of downtown and the beginning of the Brownes Addition neighborhood this conveniently located little bar the perfect "pre-funk" stop on ones way downtown and "night-cap" stop to wind down on the way home. With that unique quality you'll find an always present handful of "service industry" workers cheerfully sipping on a beverage after most likely after their shift at one of the many restaurant or bars located downtown. So that being said if you find yourself drinking at a popular "service industry" bar. You know the bartender is going to be especially friendly and efficient at their job. Drinks will flow quickly and a little strong in appreciation for their fellow colleagues. The menu is small and delicious. The music is always upbeat and fun. I think I even overheard that anyone can be the dj at least for 1 song. There is also a wonderful patio attached that as soon as the weather permits is the popular...

They hand out their menu as if they have complete food service, then, when you try to order (and this has happened more than once over the course of a year with different servers/bartenders each time) they inform you that they only have fried food available. Bartenders clearly have no concept of customer service. Not only do they not warn you of their limited night time menu, but they also take forever to get to your drink order, and you must go to the bar to order a drink, as there is no table service. You must also figure this out for yourself after a decent amount of time has passed without service. Drinks are overpriced, food is mediocre. Honestly a waste of time to go...

Turns out the guy was a previous employee and was being a tool. I presumed he still worked there based on what I had heard from regulars there. It's not the bar's fault what happened and I was a little drunk when I left the review. They don't deserve my previous rating. I will be returning to Andy's. It's a good bar!
4 star instead of five until they put up a sign in the restroom that says make sure to...
