Last night (4/17/24), we tried Molé in Kendall Yards and it was absolutely delicious! The restaurant is open, you can see into the kitchen and watch them preparing the meals. It is kind of loud inside, but it’s clean. The place isn’t large, but they have done their best to fit as many tables as they possibly could in the dining room. The location is at the West-end of Kendall Yards. There is on-street parking, but it gets really busy down there so finding parking can be difficult.

After being seated, we were brought some fresh made tortilla chips with a mild, yet scrumptious salsa.

We also ordered beverages. I went with the Molé Paloma and Jenna had a Diet Coke. Their drinks were reasonably priced, my Paloma was heavy on the Grapefruit flavor and light on the Tequila.

As for our meals, my friend Jenna has been making Fajita Salads for a long time, and when I saw they had it on their menu, it was an easy decision to make Molé our dining destination last night.

She did opt for the Fajita Taco Salad with shrimp but didn’t get the tortilla chips. The menu didn’t say anything about rice for the “salad,” but there was rice at the bottom of her bowl and their rice was phenomenal.

I was all over the place trying to decide what to get. I finally settled on their Seafood Cancún. It was served in a sizzling cast iron vessel and filled with plenty of shrimp, scallops, and another couple fish pieces not mentioned in the description. It was loaded with mushrooms, onions, and yellow summer squash. The flavor was fantastic and a dish I have not had before. I did substitute a side salad for the rice and beans, but didn’t ask for a salad dressing, which turned out fine since I had to bring the whole salad home with me. There was so much food in the Seafood Cancun dish, that I couldn’t even finish it. There was definitely enough for two people to enjoy.

One thing that we both agreed on, their guacamole was the best we have ever had in Spokane. The last time we had guacamole as good as theirs was when we got table side guacamole made for us in Las Vegas. To be fair, we haven’t really been searching out guacamole and haven’t had many Mexican or Spanish restaurants on our list. Going forward, we will be paying more attention to the guacamole we are served.

Their online menu contains a dish called “Mucha Carne” and it’s said to feed 3-5 people for $145 (a plate of chorizo, pollo enchilado, carne asada, carne al pastor, and sauteed Mexican prawns. Served with rice, beans, and homemade fresh salsas). That is what my significant other wants to try (with friends, of course) when we go again. I did not see this dish on the menu in the restaurant, so I do not know if it has been discontinued.

If you’re looking for a delicious more upscale Mexican restaurant, I would definitely suggest trying out Mole in Kendall yards. You’ll want to make a reservation, because it gets busy (even at 6 PM on a...

I've been going to mole since they opened, a lot! I loved the cocktails pure and and simple. I'd get the pineapple margarita and add jalapeño oh so nice. Until service went to Sh-t. It took a few visits to understand that's what's really going on and it's not me. It was always about the drinks, we could never even get our drinks before our food came etc. and that's a big no no in my world I like to drink AND eat. Tried going back after a good year and wow it's gotten waaaaayyy worse. So after ordering a drink and then food, we raelized oh, they aren't bringing drinks, 40 minutes after ordering even! I told our server to cancel our order we're done waiting. I've never done that after ordering food. It's clearly a management problem I then talked to lady at another restaurant Umi that we went to down the road who apologized and then came the excuses.. they didn't think it was going to be busy so they didn't have the people even though it was one of the nicest days we've had and everyone is out looking for a patio to drink on.. Not sure the affiliation but own your sh-t! get a bigger a bar and staff it! That place is too big for a bar the size of that. When your most popular drinks are craft cocktails that take twice as long to make and you have and have had only one bartender for as long as I've been going there your management it is failing big time!! Too bad, I loved this place I told who ever the gal is that I won't be back after that she said I didn't have to go back... that I agreed with her on lol stop making excuses period I believe I was told the owner was at the same place I ended up going too and had heard about my situation and apologized. How funny they had to go somewhere else to eat for decent service. The price you pay in these restaurants deserves great service as well as experience. No one gets a pass on sorry no drinks yet here's your food pay up and bye! Umi however where we ended up, delicious, tons of service and had a great time!! Definitely...

First off, compliments to the hosting staff and our server that we had a couple of nights ago. It was mine and my roommate’s first time there. They were awesome and we got out the food and drinks on a busy night in a very decent time! The food is a little pricy for the portions that we got but it was good none the less. Margaritas were small and a little overpriced as well, but again delicious!

Me and my roommate only had the option to get sat right at the very first table which was completely fine with us. For context it’s RIGHT next to the hostess booth. However, during our visit an issue came up with a customers pick up order and they asked to speak with the manager a little annoyed. The manager/owner was the one who came out to speak with them. The manager came into the conversation already fired up and both parties fueled the fire escalating the situation. The manager came back out multiple times from the kitchen harassing the customer. It ultimately ending in the man getting his food and stating he would not come back.

No matter who was right in the situation, the way that he treated the customer was absolutely unprofessional. He spoke over the person, even while they called him out for doing exactly that. He raised his voice multiple times to the person and even argued multiple times. In the end, as me and my roommate were the first table the manager tried to get us to back his side as the customer was walking out the door. I felt extremely awkward, as we were eating during this entire interaction already. Then to try to be brought into it was the most unprofessional thing I have seen from a manager. I will absolutely not be returning to this restaurant in fear of being treated by the...

Molé is located in the beautiful, Kendall Yards, which has a gorgeous view of the river. The restaurant itself, has a bright, indirect light and is such a calm, inviting vibe. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, but quickly got busy. I wasn't too concerned, as I had made an online reservation. Our server came over fairly quickly, took our drink order and brought back chips and salsa. Their chips are made from blue and yellow corn, and were cooked to perfection! The salsa, was so tasty! I'd definitely say it had a kick, which I enjoyed as I love spicy! I ordered a grilled pineapple margarita, which was like no other margarita I've ever had. It was a little sweet, but the fresh pineapple flavor was truly a delight! My second drink was a Paloma. It was good, but nothing in comparison to that margarita! My friend and I were having a difficult time choosing from the menu, so we decided to split a Pollo Enchilada and a chicken quesdilla. They were both generous portions. The quesdilla was really good. The yellow peppers in it added such a great flavor. The enchilada, was seasoned so well. It had am abundance of flavor. It was a little party in my mouth. Our server, Juan, was attentive, personable, and did a great job. It made for an extra awesome experience. The only "issue" I had was that due to the 100° outdoor temps and the restaurant having their garage doors open (they have outside seating too), it was uncomfortably hot inside. I think a few fans in the dining area would be beneficial. I am so glad I was able to go here and have already planned my next trip! PS, the picture is of my half of enchilada and quesdilla.

A Oaxacan delight! The chef and the kitchen staff are from Oaxaca, which brings la vida to the ambitious and expertly executed menu. Mole’s extensive gluten free options made it a paradise for one trying to avoid the pesky glutens. The interior is cozy and inviting, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the Baja fish tacos and the street tacos and they stack up against the best. Their drink offerings were all amazing and I would definitely recommend the Oaxacan Mule and the Basil Serrano Mojito, the fresh fruit made them supremely refreshing. They do recommend a reservation as they are very busy most of the day. 10/10 would recommend. ———————————— Update 06/05/22: this evening I was deeply disappointed with my food, having previously enjoyed most of the menu. We had the barbacoa de Berrego-lamb and the Seafood Cancun, which were both bland and uninspired. The lamb was served in a flavorless broth and relied on an accompanying salsa for any sense of flavor. I was tempted to ask the server for salt to save the dish. It likely needs more seasoning and a heartier broth. The shrimp dish tasted too “shrimpy” and likely needs to be grilled and potentially served with a splash of white wine, or just reimagined. Very disappointed for the $100 the meal cost me. Perhaps it was an off night, but based on my experience I cannot recommend these entrees to anyone. I am deducting 1 star from my previous 5 star review.
