If you’re in Stillwater and craving some AMAZING food at a reasonable price, Leo’s Grill & Malt Shop is THE place to go! With outdoor seating overlooking the river and beautifully remodeled walkways, the atmosphere is just as fantastic as the food. The staff? Super kind, welcoming, and attentive—you’ll feel right at home the moment you walk in.
Now, let’s talk about THE FOOD! 🍔🍟 First, I took a chance on the Impossible Burger patty (something I’d never tried before) and asked for it on their Mushroom Swiss Burger—and WOW. It was the most flavorful, juicy, and delicious burger I have EVER had! You’d never know it wasn’t beef—in fact, I’d argue it’s even better! It’s my go-to order now, and I find myself here all the time during the warmer months, especially after a bike ride on the local trails.
And let’s be real—you can’t get a burger without waffle fries & seasoned sour cream. YUM, YUM, YUMMY! 🤤 It’s the perfect pairing, and you will not regret it.
But the real showstopper? THE DESSERTS! Seriously, don’t even think about going anywhere else for ice cream. I’ve tried them all, and Leo’s homemade ice cream is hands-down the best in town. You can taste the difference—rich, creamy, and made from scratch. My personal favorite? The Mississippi Mud Sundae—a heavenly combination of hot fudge, Oreos, caramel, and pecans. It’s basically a Snickers Bar on steroids, and it’s absolute perfection.
You will leave full, happy, and beyond satisfied, and it won’t break the bank. In fact, you’ll be so impressed that you’ll want to leave a generous tip for the amazing wait staff. It’s clear the owners truly care about their business and their customers.
If you’re looking for quality, flavor, and an unforgettable dining experience, don’t waste your time or money anywhere else—Leo’s is...
Read moreStillwater's hidden gem, Leo's Mulch Shop, is more than just a delightful dining destination. It's a community haven, where the generous owner collaborates with local elementary schools to teach youngsters about commerce and the value of hard work. This unpretentious eatery has an enticing, family-friendly menu with scrumptious options like the Patty Melt, which harmoniously combines a juicy patty and gooey cheese between perfectly toasted bread.
Another crowd pleaser is the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, which strikes a balance between succulent chicken and fresh veggies, all nestled within a soft bun. But the pièce de résistance at Leo's is their ice cream selection - a dizzying array of flavors that caters to every sweet tooth. My personal favorite? The Hershey's Chocolate Malt with a generous drizzle of chocolate syrup. It's a rich, velvety treat that's truly satisfying.
The best part is that you can either savor your ice cream indoors or utilize the convenient walk-up window and take it to the nearby park. There, you can revel in the beauty of Stillwater's iconic Lift Bridge while enjoying your frozen indulgence. Whether it's for a leisurely meal or a quick dessert, Leo's Mulch Shop is a must-visit for locals and...
Read moreWe stopped by tonight, a night where my toddler was having a very tough time. I just wanted to leave a good review and say thank you to our server (I wish I remembered your name). While we waited for food and my toddler fussed loudly, you offered her crackers, and a warm smile. When our food came and she still was fussy, you offered to help out by offering other things. While sometimes it can also be overwhelming to have those things happen, you showed that you were willing to go above and beyond to help us out.
Thank you for doing that. -Signed an exhausted single parent who really just needed someone’s kindness tonight.
Update as of 9/27 Went back to Leo’s because of the good experience we had a week ago. Came to get a milkshake. They won’t sell you one off of their full menu from the ordering window. And if you go inside to try to order one, we were told no take out. So we would’ve had to wait 30+ minutes after already having waited 10+ minutes to even have someone acknowledge us, to get a shake.
Sounds like there’s some consistency issues here. We’ll still come back again but certainly won’t keep our hopes up for a...
