I have been disappointed this evening. I have been wanting to try this place for years based on all the good reviews. The hostess was bland, the table was tiny for dinner, service was slow to arrive at our table - we were ready to order by the time she arrived. I ordered the fish tacos with the shrimp on the side (the server warned me that they were cold, and I appreciated that). Teen had the smothered burrito and tween had kids nachos. Both kids were very pleased with their meals, and the teen couldn't finish half of the huge burrito. However the fish tacos were sad. The corn tortillas were cold, no attempt to warm or toast them - just out of the package. The mahi mahi was mostly breading with barely an ounce of fish per taco. The shrimp "cocktail" on the side was kind of gross - like Buffalo sauce was used instead of something mexican flavored or even just cocktail sauce. The food came out fast, but I really wish it had taken just a few minutes more to make it worth the $20. The place wasn't busy either, so there's no excuse. I may try again and order something different because of the consistent good reviews, but it was quite disappointing tonight.

First time in Stillwater MN and after a nice walk we decided to eat some. There's a many options for food in Stillwater but in my walk I saw just one Latino restaurant open, so we decided to support our community eating there... Well, I was surprised by this; it's the first Latino restaurant that I have been eating that didn't welcome you with a little basket of chips with it respective salsa, [no big deal honestly] but when we ask for a natural drinks or juice they don'thave any, but they have a variety cans and processes drinks that the waiter don't even offered to us as a choice. They have a variety alcohol drinks for those who love alcoholic drinks and water, so we drink water. Food taste good, but in general it's close to a Mexican cuisine, in my opinion the only real latino here is the name and the cookers who's I can reach to see them looks hispanics. Our waiter no even stopped at our table a single time just for courtesy to find out if everything was ok, even when she pass several time next to us. Customer service it's very disappointing.

Nacho Mamas might be tucked away on Stillwater’s busiest street, but it’s absolutely worth seeking out. A coworker recommended it, and I’m so glad they did. The moment we walked in, the place screamed art, ambience, and culture—with tons of cool wall art that gave it a creative and welcoming vibe. We originally stopped in just for a drink, but after chatting with our amazing waitress Maggey, we decided to order food based on her recommendations. I'm glad we did! The Mucho Margarita was, hands down, the best margarita I’ve ever had—bold, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. For food, we shared the Smothered Burrito, and it was incredible. Every bite had the perfect mix of chicken, rice, beans, and smothered in delicious cheese sauce. The portion was generous, and the flavors were spot-on. The guacamole, lettuce, and extra rice and beans on the side rounded it all out perfectly. We left feeling full, happy, and completely impressed. Nacho Mamas is the real deal—great food, drinks, and atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Step into a vibrant haven of Mexican flavors, where every visit is a spicy Margarita-infused fiesta! This bustling gem, despite its perpetual buzz, manages to captivate with its exceptional offerings. The star of the show? Undoubtedly, the bar, where Margaritas reign supreme. Sip on these fiery concoctions amidst the lively chaos, and you'll find yourself transported to a taste paradise.

The restaurant's popularity is undeniable, resulting in a lively atmosphere that adds to its allure. The crowds, though daunting at first glance, are a testament to the place's popularity. Yet, amidst the hustle, the bar manages to carve its niche – a sanctuary for those seeking not just great drinks but an experience.

Now, let's talk about the food – a gastronomic journey that surpasses expectations. Each dish is a meticulous blend of spices, creating a symphony of flavors that tantalize your taste buds. From sizzling fajitas to mouthwatering tacos, every bite is a celebration of Mexican culinary artistry.

Despite the chaos and continuous influx of patrons, the service remains commendable. The staff navigates the whirlwind efficiently, ensuring orders are delivered promptly with a smile. It's this commitment to both quality and customer experience that elevates this restaurant above the rest.

In summary, this Mexican gem is not just a restaurant; it's an experience. A sensory overload of taste, sight, and sound, where great spicy Margaritas and delectable food come together in a symphony of Mexican delight. It's a busy yet enchanting space, making every visit a...

Two of us on a weekend trip w/o children. Walked in w/o a reservation. Girl at podium, very nice, took our info said it was a 30-40min. Fair- took our phone for a text/wait. We asked about getting a drink at the cantina. Was totally cool. No wait in the bar with food service so we opted cantina. Very friendly/funny bartender! Seemed like a lot of Cheers! normals which was pretty cool! Our server was one of the best we’ve had for a while. She was very polite, cracked the jokes, understood timing/didn’t rush us- she understood the ques of her customers- very memorable. Loved the atmosphere- had some jammin Jamaican music happening with golf (for the wife) on the tv. Decoration was fun/not obnoxious. Sad it was raining as the patio looked inviting walking by it. I read reviewers thoughts about the food and agree that it’s basic. You get what you pay for portion wise in JBs economy, but any white scanderhovan MN’n would be able to handle this food as it’s bland- don’t get me wrong- very tasty and prepared correctly. Just no pop. We had mamas guacamole for a starter- very good unique chips. I had a very large smothered burrito with a jalapeño margarita. The wife had street tacos. We had to stop eating at a point not to over fill ourselves so we could get fried ice cream. The service saved it from an overall 4 star as the food was basic....

This place has been my favorite, but today my experience was horrible. I was greeted by an unwelcoming waitress at the check-in. I wanted to order a to-go dinner for one. She said she wasn't sure if I could do that. When she saw I was a little surprised with her response, she went inside and came back to tell me the wait time will be 30 minutes. I said I'll wait. I asked her to bring me a menu. She went inside reluctantly and never returned. After waiting for 5 minutes, another sad-looking waitress showed up and asked if I was served. I said no and told her I wanted to order something for to-go. She grabbed a pen and paper and asked "What do you want to order?" without showing me a menu. I asked her to show me a menu and then I placed my order. The second waitress never asked if I needed anything else or suggested something that goes with my order. She told me to come back in 30 minutes, again with no smile. I did not like her tone and left unhappy. I took a deep breath, had a little walk outside, and returned on time. The good news, my food was ready to be picked up. I paid her, tipped her, and left. Again, no smile and no expression of appreciation for visiting the restaurant. I was happy visiting Stillwater this afternoon until I made a final stop at Nacho Mamas. My...
