I have been disappointed this evening. I have been wanting to try this place for years based on all the good reviews. The hostess was bland, the table was tiny for dinner, service was slow to arrive at our table - we were ready to order by the time she arrived. I ordered the fish tacos with the shrimp on the side (the server warned me that they were cold, and I appreciated that). Teen had the smothered burrito and tween had kids nachos. Both kids were very pleased with their meals, and the teen couldn't finish half of the huge burrito. However the fish tacos were sad. The corn tortillas were cold, no attempt to warm or toast them - just out of the package. The mahi mahi was mostly breading with barely an ounce of fish per taco. The shrimp "cocktail" on the side was kind of gross - like Buffalo sauce was used instead of something mexican flavored or even just cocktail sauce. The food came out fast, but I really wish it had taken just a few minutes more to make it worth the $20. The place wasn't busy either, so there's no excuse. I may try again and order something different because of the consistent good reviews, but it was quite disappointing tonight.

First time in Stillwater MN and after a nice walk we decided to eat some. There's a many options for food in Stillwater but in my walk I saw just one Latino restaurant open, so we decided to support our community eating there... Well, I was surprised by this; it's the first Latino restaurant that I have been eating that didn't welcome you with a little basket of chips with it respective salsa, [no big deal honestly] but when we ask for a natural drinks or juice they don'thave any, but they have a variety cans and processes drinks that the waiter don't even offered to us as a choice. They have a variety alcohol drinks for those who love alcoholic drinks and water, so we drink water. Food taste good, but in general it's close to a Mexican cuisine, in my opinion the only real latino here is the name and the cookers who's I can reach to see them looks hispanics. Our waiter no even stopped at our table a single time just for courtesy to find out if everything was ok, even when she pass several time next to us. Customer service it's very disappointing.

We were very excited to try their food. To the point we drove from Minneapolis to Stillwater. Multiple friends recommended us this place. Well, it was an utter disappointment. Loud music. Subpar food. Nonexistent service, can’t blame the server as he was the only one serving, bartending and cleaning the tables. Never got any water. The drinks were average. The food was below average. We ordered fish tacos and smothered burrito. While the burrito was okay, the tacos were horrible. No flavor whatsoever. It was a struggle to eat them and eventually I was only able to eat one out of 3. My husband couldn’t finish his burrito either. Only good thing was the salsa they served with the chips. Prices are quite high for the quality of the food. Overall, not a place I would recommend to others. And the way the owner responds to the negative comments, just wow!

Nacho Mamas serves up delicious food, great portion sizes, and delivers good customer service. The nachos serving is gigantic and highly recommended. Burritos here are large and flavorful. The fajitas are fresh but a bit smaller compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. The downside to Nacho Mamas is that the dining room is small and cramped. Tables and chairs are close together so one has to be alert for other customers and servers. They do have more room in the bar area and the patio when it is open. The other downside are some of the prices. Drink prices are pretty steep. Also, it is $4 for chips and salsa here compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area where chips and salsa are complimentary. Still, Nacho Mamas is a fun place to eat and the food is amazing. Recommended.

Busy place! Unsure about parking but it's stillwater so park where you can find a place. Staff was easy to talk with and seems like a fun work environment. The food portions are huge! Of the things we ordered the chimichanga and the smother burrito were both same size and shareable unless you want left overs which BTW the reheated chimichanga was awwwesome! The fajita and the enchilada bake were a decent meal for a individual person. All were really tasty. Highly recommend! **Update as of 9/1/23 all prices have gone up by $1, so take that into account with the photos I uploaded 7months ago**
