Big food disappointment but nice atmosphere. The appetizers were terrible. The salsa for the chips-and-salsa was gelatinous and worse than virtually any unrefrigerated grocery store brand. The fries looked great, but tasted bland and were extra greasy. I choked down maybe a handful. The "Bar Steak" bites were OK, but the meat quality was not great. They were not well seasoned. I've heard plenty of complaints from restraint owners about Coke-Cola distributing, but remember most people prefer it over Pepsi products.
The middle-of-the-afternoon music was something maybe a depressed 20 something old might relate to but most of the patrons have outgrown that genre of music a decade or two ago. It was way too whiny, gritty, dark and annoying. Virtually anything, even country would have been preferred.
Suggestions to the owner: Customers don't mind paying more for the food if it has higher quality ingredients (e.g. Fresh Salsa, grass-fed beef). You'll need an experienced cook to explain how to make awesome fries and better steak bites. To improve the music get Spotify or Pandora, select an age-appropriate radio station and keep the staff away from it. Suck it up and switch to...
Read moreIt was great to be close to the water, but the food was super salty and overall, wasn't very good.
My kids were so excited for the basket of fries, but hardly touched them because of how salty they were. We ordered the lemon pepper wings and we didn't finish them because of how salty they were. The onion rings the cheese curds were good. We also ordered the nachos on the appetizer menu. It was a HUGE serving, which we weren't prepared for and it had lots of shredded cheese along with nacho cheese. I love cheese, but if I would've known how much cheese was going to be on there, I would've asked for the nachos without the cheese- as long as you have salsa, sour cream and/or guacamole to hold it together, it's still really good.
Probably the best part was the service. Our server was very friendly and was doing her best at making sure we had everything we needed. This place has so much potential, but it felt very much like a dive bar with mediocre food. I personally don't...
Read moreWe came here for a few drinks. We paid in a $50 bill, and the bartender gave us the wrong amount of change back. So we told him hey, we have the wrong change. Then he proceeded to say that the 20 that we were missing blew away in the wind (in the inside bar). When we brought it up to him and his manager, he told us to “take off our shoes and co Count on our feet”, the correct amount of change. He then proceeded to say he’s not serving us, even though we hadn’t been drinking and this was our first stop. The woman who was the manager defended him and told us to go outside. It was the most backwards and messed up experience I have ever dealt with and I’m honestly baffled. I would really appreciate if someone reached out and explain to us what we did wrong and why we were refused to be served, simply for asking for the right amount of...
