Biryani n' More — Restaurant in Sugar Land

If I could give this place 0, I would. Save your money, time, and health. I had ordered 2 Chicken Biryanis from them last week.told me will be ready in 4 mins (should‘ve known better it’ll be old) When I went to pick it up, door was flung open because AC did not work. Once I got the food, I realized that they had put hot and fresh rice on the top of the bowls, and underneath was cold biryani that tasted days old. You could tell the Chicken has a distinct taste once it’s a day old and just reheated. Further, entire briyani was LOADED with garam masala. I thought it’s probably because they’re trying to cover the taste of the old briyani. I called back immediately and let the lady know you served old biryani. She was denying saying I’ll ask the kitchen staff. I asked her to refund me or remake both biryanis. She said ok I’ll make sure I give you absolutely fresh, it’ll take 20 mins don’t worry. So I drove all the way back, and she gave me what their fresh biryani was. She asked for the old ones back (no issue), but she was trying to blame their chicken supplier for selling “old chicken” they couldn’t even own up to their mistake by selling DAYS old nasty biryani. They thought they’d be able to get rid of the old batch, while they were making fresh for a catering order. Ridiculous. The fresh batch was just complete trash as well. LOADED with garam masala and nothing else. Could barely eat 3 bites that’s how spicy it was. Wasted $25, so much time, and dinner. Don’t go here. First time ordering take-out here, and first time trying out South Asian food! I ordered at the counter, and the person who serviced me was nice and friendly. The food did take a while to be done (~30 minutes), so it's probably better to call first or order online if you're getting take out.

♡ Beef Samosa with chutney(?). 7/10 Not sure what this red sauce is, but it was gooood. It's got a little kick to it! However, the beef samosa was just okay. There wasn't that much filling, and it was mainly just ground beef and some herb.

♡ Butter Chicken. 4/10 I was really excited to try out butter chicken for the first time, and it smelled good, but ultimately, the taste fell flat. The spices just weren't that notable to me. The chicken pieces were good though! I just don't think I would order this again.

♡ Garlic Naan. 8/10 The garlic naan looked REALLY good, and I love how fluffy it is! You can't go wrong with naan bread, and I'm glad I ordered this with my butter chicken.

♡ Mango Lassi. 7/10 Good mango flavor, and I enjoyed drinking it. However, I'm not really a fan of how it's sealed because the yogurt sticks to the lid. It's also pricy ($6) for the amount you get, so you definitely want to break open the seal to get to the rest of the drink.

Amazing restaurant, super delicious food. Everything they have is authentic and yummy. Their Biryanis (Goat, Chicken), and Zafarani pulao are finger licking & mouthwatering. Their Malai botis are soft and tender not spicy but very flavorful. Goat karahi is original appetizing. Garlic Naan and Tillwaali Naan are to die for. We also had Zarda, and Rabri for dessert and I don't have words to describe how delectable they are. I have never had this super delicious Biryanis anywhere in Houston so far. I would highly highly recommend this place for all their food items. We also ordered Bohri Fried Chicken during their weekdays special buy 1 get 1 free. It was $10.99 + tax and one order has 3 pieces of Chicken with little fries. Total 6 pieces in buy 1 get 1 free. The chicken pieces were deep fried and spicy, they were really yummy and different in taste. They weren't oily at all, which was the best part.
