Normally, I only provide positive feedback, but this case was not “normal”.
I placed an order online, hoping that the store would not be out of ingredients and could fulfill my order.
It was late at night, about 30 mins before closing, and I knew it was risky considering stores usually try to wrap things up so they can leave right at closing.
I arrived in hopes of my order being ready, and it was— or so I thought…
The order was already paid for online, and I requested a limited-edition steak with queso and chips….
The young lady at the counter seemed sweet, but everything seemed a bit too good to be true, and her energy read “he’s gonna be pissed about something,” though she said nothing.
I happily took the order, which was sealed, and as soon as I opened the bag (after walking back to my car), I noticed— the chips were missing— I walked back to the door, to whom I met— the young lady from the counter—she seemed sweet— she politely asked me what was wrong, and I told her the chips were missing…
She said she’d give me a refund in cash and gave me $2.85—though the chips and queso (I returned the queso to her) were $4.50+
I said nothing and was hoping to enjoy my meal until I pulled off and noticed there were no fajita veggies in my quesadilla as requested….
There was also no white rice in the meal as I requested….
Simply put— if you don’t have the items in stock— provide a full refund instead of half-filling an order and leaving a customer under the impression that they have exactly what they paid for when they do not.
I love Chipotle, but this experience was extremely unsatisfactory and could’ve gone so much better if they would’ve been up front and honest and stated they did not want to make the ingredients needed to fulfill the order before closing.
I would’ve understood and accepted a full refund, but to take money from someone and not fulfill the order properly is...
Read moreGood evening. Me and my family (who are very much regulars @ The Apalachee Parkway Chipotle) went to get our dinner for the evening @6:26p.m. today. We were greeted with a smile and was told they are only accepting card because they do not have enough cash to give out change… (that’s a norm for this location). I asked if the guy could wipe the counter down because I am allergic to the sauces and he had spilled some (a lot) on the counter. He got a rag to wipe it down but only wiped his side and not the other side. So I asked the young lady that was beside him oh he wasn’t going to wipe your side down. ( the original side I had asked him to wipe down) she looked at him and I looked at him and she said to him oh you weren’t going to wipe my side? He turns around and throws his hands up and says I don’t have time for this… 👀 and walked away to the back.. I don’t know why he did it but it was very rude and uncalled for. The reason why I put the exact time so that the owner, general manager, supervisor or manager can look at the time stamp and see exactly who I’m referring too because when I asked for his name the young lady at the register said that they do not give out employee names…. To whomever that can find out who this made employee was you need to speak with him about this behavior. Ask him would he rather just wipe the counter or a customer have a allergic reaction and die or sue the Chipotle and of course he would be the reason…. We are very much regulars to that particular Chipotle because the other employees know us by our face we come there so much. But thanks to Mr. I don’t care if you have an allergic reaction we will not be spending any more money there. This is will our last time coming to that Chipotle. I know we are just one family of four and our money is small compared to the many customers but...
Read moreMy experience at THIS Chipotle (the one closest to my house) made me realize how good Chipotle is - and strives to be. the folks at this one bring their A-game to work each time I've come. If the product here is awesome, and the service matches up to it, it's clearly a winning combination.
The staff here is friendly and they operate seamlessly from Right (place your order) to Left (pay for your order).
Music is just the right volume, a smidge above the din of the dining room conversation.
One particular image stands out to me. The guy behind the counter working a 12" chef's knife confidently and properly. Frankly, I've NEVER seen anyone behind the counter of a fast-casual place work a Chef's knife properly. This guy was straight outta the training videos for Global / Wusthof knives. Mesmerizing to see the locomotive action of the blade. But, I digress...
I'm not a fan of the "barbacoa" yet I respect it. I do enjoy the chicken - and so I'm all about that. My standard is the bowl (brown rice/cilantro, both red and black beans) with Pico, the tomatillo red chili hot salsa and lettuce.
One last note: THIS Chipotle compels me to return to the Tennessee St. Chipotle to give them another shot. In retrospect, I realize that while my experience was 100% true, the actions of one employee should not take down an empire. ('course, this IS a teachable moment for leaders of...
