Long Review ALERT 🚨 Lol!

First time visiting this establishment, and I have to say, because of LUKE, from Boston, and Celeste, Assistant Manager, I’m DEFINITELY coming back, insha’Allah “God Willing.” I initially came to use the Wells Fargo ATM, right next-door, per my GPS will come to find out ATM was out of service. So I decided to go onto the coffee spot to get some water. (WOODER IN MY NEW YORK accent) I ended up staying longer in ordering water, bananas, and ice drink. Now Sundays are going to be my regular “Banana WOODER-COUGH-EEE” day at CAFETEL (Cafe Tell)

LUKE and Celeste, both have Great Customer Service, a diverse Sense of humor, and Great People skills. Not to mention, Luke and Celeste, BOTH, exude one of the most Positive Energies,N-R-G, I’ve come across this week! They’re definitely an asset to this company and are in the right position. If you come in here with a negative attitude, Celeste will definitely help you change that by making you laugh it off. Or she’ll do her best to flip your script from negative to positive. Lol!

I can see them going a long way with this company, and in life. Did I forget to mention that they helped me out pleading with the Parking authority so I wouldn’t get a parking ticket? I admit it was totally my fault because I forgot that I parked temporarily with my hazard in the wrong spot. LUKE even came outside to beg for Deb, the parking authority, to not give me a ticket. Luckily, she was familiar with my disability and my “Abilities” the. cut me a break on a free parking Sunday. I think Deb and I became friends now because she also had an understanding attitude. All of a sudden a parking spot became available right across the street from the Coffee shop. The young lady told me she was leaving. “ALHAMDULILLAH (EL-HEM-DO-LEE-LAH) all praises due to God (Allah). That was a blessing and I know it was from God (Allah). Funny another car tried to take it but my NY driving came in handy with my swift thinking. Lol! Sorry-Not-Sorry to the white Civic Uber driver who dropped off some people. I worked too hard for this spot. Plus I didn’t know you were going to park there. Lol! See you guys again on a Sunday!

Love this little coffee shop, a real gem of a place as the staff is friendly and inviting, the coffee is excellent (at least the Americano, which is what I always get), and while the inside is wonderfully cool, especially in the summer, I love to get there between 7 am and 8 am, even in the summer, as the outside seating is still in the shade, and sip my mug of Americano and small glass of ice water and imagine I am on the Champs-Elysees in Paris, as it is a great place to people watch with an ongoing flow of students, employees of ASU and then parents and grandparents of students.

I live fairly close and thus enjoy riding my bicycle there (plenty of bike parking on the other side of College Ave, across from the shop. I also like that it serves a large cross section of people and it has a wonderful inviting and inclusive environment - really one of those third places that the big coffee chain keeps talking about being - if you are close to hear and want to enjoy and support an independent coffee chain (and the family that runs the shop owns their own coffee farms), this is a great...

I come here at least once a week. All of the employees are super nice. I don't think I have ever seen any of them show anything but kindess and generosity to anyone. The pastries are good. They have a selection of milks to choose from including dairy, almond and soy milk. They make really good salads for a coffee shop. Haven't tried the sandwiches but the pita and hummus plate is pretty great. Best, freshest hummus I have ever had. Their tomato basil soup is fantastic. I haven't had a single bad experience here. The ONE negative thing is the smoothies. not good. Everything else = awesome. Oh! And! Their scones. They have THE best scones that actually have the proper texture for a scone. They have a cranberry scone and a chocolate chip scone.... SO GOOD. Oh yes, and their coffee and teas are also very good. They have loose leaf teas and their coffee doesn't have that burnt taste that starbucks...
