I don’t even know where to start with how much I loved my visit to Dessert Gallery. From the moment I walked in, everything felt cozy, inviting, and perfectly sweet. It wasn’t busy at all when I went, which actually surprised me. The place deserves to be completely packed because it’s that good. I was honestly a little sad to see there weren’t more people inside because this spot should be full of happy dessert lovers every single day.
The staff was wonderful. Everyone was friendly, patient, and so kind. You can tell they really care about their customers. Their customer service alone makes you want to come back, and the desserts seal the deal. They also validate parking, which is so helpful because parking around here is pretty limited. That small detail made the experience even better.
Now for the star of the show, the brownie sundae. It was absolutely incredible. I honestly think it’s the best sundae I’ve ever had in my life. It reminded me of the one Kevin ordered in Home Alone 2 in New York, pure decadence and pure joy. Only difference is I didn’t have to be in a fancy hotel to feel that kind of happiness.
The brownie was rich, warm, and fudgy with the perfect mix of chewy edges and a soft, gooey center. The vanilla ice cream was so creamy and flavorful that you can taste the quality in every spoonful. The hot fudge was warm and silky, the whipped cream was light and real, and the cherry on top finished it off perfectly. Everything about it complimented each other so well. The warm brownie against the cold ice cream was pure perfection.
This sundae honestly made my whole day. I can confidently say it’s the best one I’ve ever had, and I’ll be comparing every other sundae to this one from now on. I can’t wait to come back, and next time I’m bringing my kids with me because they’ll absolutely love it. I even want to bring some of my clients here because it’s the kind of place that deserves more attention and more smiling faces.
Dessert Gallery is a hidden gem that deserves to shine brighter. I’ll be coming back every...
Read more😡 An Absolute Disaster: Paid-For Cake, Zero Service! I am absolutely infuriated by my experience at this bakery. I placed a custom order, paid for the entire cake in full the day before pickup, and yet, when I arrived at the agreed-upon time, I was met with utter chaos and incompetence. Instead of having my pre-paid, fully-covered cake ready for me, I was told—after a baffling amount of searching and excuses—they told me that they sold the cake to someone else. Let me reiterate: I paid for this cake in full and in person at the bakery, the day nefore. This wasn't a "maybe I'll buy one" situation; it was a confirmed, financially secured transaction. Total Disregard for the Customer The level of customer service displayed was non-existent. There was no proactive communication about an issue, no genuine apology that sounded sincere, and certainly no immediate solution offered for a mistake that was entirely on their end. They essentially took my money for a product they couldn't provide, leaving me stranded the day before an important event. This isn't a minor oversight; this is a complete failure of basic business operations and a profound disrespect for paying customers. When you take a customer's money, you have a fundamental obligation to deliver the product. They failed spectacularly. Do not waste your time or your money here. If they can lose a pre-paid order, what else are they incapable of handling correctly? This bakery demonstrated a stunning level of disorganization and a total disregard for my time...
Read moreCreated our own tasting menu of various treats like cakes, cookies, pies, bars and whoopie pies to the tune of $80 worth of baked goods and the opinion of the entire lot was a resounding...Meh.
The yellow cake sponge was dry and the buttercream, for it's dark brown appearance hardly tasted of chocolate.
The carr-oat whoopie pie was almost inedible it was so dry, the s'mores pie was fair but uninspired, the cheesecake tasted like it was made with goat cheese and the cookies were no better than HEB or Costco.
The caramel bar was pretty good as was the chocolate decadence, and of the shopping bag worth of sweets we got, it was the only one that was completely finished.
Maybe it was a bad day/week for the bakers, maybe some of the reviewers have never been to a truly good bakery or maybe my own tastes have been spoiled by the likes of Mindy Segal or Tommy and Julie Wang in Chicago, I'm not sure, but if you're coming here, choose your...
